Automatic rain sensitive
windscreen wipers
The windscreen wipers operate automatically,
without any action on the par t of the driver,
if rain is detected (sensor behind the rear viewmirror), adapting their speed to the intensity of
the rainfall.
Switching on
Briefly push the control stalkdownwards.
This warning lamp comes on in the
instrument panel and a messa
ge is
displayed. Brie
fly push the control stalkdownwards again, or place the control stalk in another position
(Int, 1 or 2).
This warning lamp goes off in the instrumentpanel and a message is displayed.
Switching off
The automatic rain sensitive windscreenwipers must be reactivated by pushing the control stalk downwards, if theignition has been off for more than one minute.

Do not cover the rain sensor, linked with the sunshine sensor and located in the centre of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. Switch off the automatic rain sensitivewipers when using an automatic car wash. In winter, it is advisable to wait until the windscreen is completely clear of ice before activating the automatic rain sensitive wipers.
Operating fault
If a fault occurs with the automatic rain
sensitive wipers, the wipers will operate in intermittent mode.
Have it checked by CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Special position of the
windscreen wipers
This position permits release of the windscreen
wiper blades.
It is used for cleaning or replacement of
the blades. It can also be useful, in winter,
to detach the blades from the windscreen.
To maintain the effectiveness of the "flat-blade" type of wiper blades, it is advisable to:
- handle them with care,
- clean them regularly using soapywater,
- avoid using them to retain cardboard on the windscreen,
- replace them at the first signs of wear.

Any action on the wiper stalk in the minute
after switching off the ignition places the
blades vertically on the screen. ) To park the blades again, switch on
the ignition and operate the wiper stalk.

In this position, the courtesy lamp comes on gradually:

Take care to avoid leaving anything in contact with the cour tesy lamps.
With the "permanent lighting" mode, the lighting time varies according to the circumstances:- with the ignition off, approximatelyten minutes,- in energy economy mode, approximately thirty seconds,-with the hybrid system active, unlimited.

- when the electronic key is removed
from
the reader,

- when the remote control locking button is
activated, in order to locate your vehicle.

Interior mood lighting The dimmed passenger compar tment lighting improves visibility in the vehicle when the lightis poor.
Switching on
At night, the interior mood lighting comes onautomatically when the sidelamps are switched
on (for example, a source of light in the roof console illuminates the middle of the centre console).
The interior mood lighting switches off automatically when the sidelamps are switched off.
Adjusting the brightness of
the courtes
y lamp
Lamps on: there are 7 levels of brightness.
The level of brightness increases progressively
with each press of the button, returning to zero after the maximum level is reached.
A long press gives maximum brightness.
This ad
justment is used to set the mood lighting level for the interior lamp, as well as for the
door opening controls and the storage locations(depending on version).
Foot well lighting
Activation
Its operation is identical to that of the cour tesy
lamps. The lighting comes on when one of the
doors is opened. The so
ft lighting provided by the footwell lamps
improves visibility in the vehicle when the light
is poor.

General points relating to child seats
For maximum safety, please obser ve the following recommendations:
- in accordance with European regulations,
all children under the age of 12 or less
than one and a half metres tall must
travel in a
pproved child seats suited to
their weight , on seats fitted with a seat
belt or ISOFIX mountings * ,-
statistically, the safest seats in your
vehicle for carrying children are the rear seats,-a child weighing less than 9 kg must
travel in the "rearwards-facing" position both in the front and in the rear.
CITROËN recommends that childrenshould travel in the outerrrear seatsof your vehicle:-"rearwards-facing"
up to the age of 2,- "forwards-facing"
over the age of 2.
Although one of CITROËN's main criteria when designing your vehicle, the safety of your children
also depends on you.
