Checks
Avoid prolonged contact of used oil or fluids with the skin. Most of these fluids are harmful to
health or indeed very corrosive.
Do not discard used oil or fluids into sewers or onto the ground.
Take used oil to a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop (France) or to anauthorised waste disposal site.

Checks
Unless otherwise indicated, check these
components in accordance with the servicing
booklet and according to your engine.
Other wise, have them checked by a CITROËN
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Before doing anything under the bonnet, switch off the ignition ( Readylamp off)to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of the engine. The presence of this label, in particular with
the
Stop & Start system, indicates the use of
a specific 12 V lead-acid battery with special
technology and specification, for which the
involvement of a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop is required when replacing or
disconnecting the battery.
Failure to obser ve this recommendation may
shor ten the life of the battery.12 V battery
The battery does not require any
maintenance.
However, check that the terminals
are clean and correctly tightened,
particularl
y in summer and winter.
When carrying out work on the battery, refer to
the "Practical information" section for details of
the precautions to be taken before disconnectingthe battery and following its reconnection.

Particle emission filter (Diesel)
The start of saturation of theparticle filter is indicated bythe temporary illumination of
this warning lamp accompanied by a message
in the multi-function screen.
As soon as the traffic conditions permit, regenerate the filter by driving at aspeed of at least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the warning lamp goes off.
If the warning lamp stays on, this indicates a low additive level.
On a new vehicle, the first par ticlefilter regeneration operations may be accompanied by a "burning" smell, which is perfectly normal.
Following prolonged operation of the vehicle at very low speed or at idle, you may, in exceptional circumstances, notice the emission of water vapour at the exhaust on acceleration. This does not affect the behaviour of the vehicle or the environment.
The 100% electric mode is not available during regeneration of the par ticle emissions filter.
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for
details of the replacement intervals
for these components.
Dependin
g on the environment(e.g. dusty atmosphere) and the use of the
vehicle (e.g. city driving), replace them twice as often if necessary(refer to the "Engines" section).
A clogged passenger compar tment filter mayhave an adverse effect on the performance
of the air conditioning system and generate undesirable odours.
Oil filter
Replace the oil filter each time the engine oil is changed.
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for
details of the replacement interval for
this component.

6-speed electronic
gearbox
The gearbox does not require anymaintenance (no oil change).
Refer to the ser vicing booklet for
details of the checking interval for
this component.
Brake wear depends on the st
yle
of driving, par ticularly in the case
of vehicles used in town, over shor tdistances. It may be necessary
to have the condition of the brakes checked, even between vehicle services.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a drop in
th
e brake fluid level indicates that the brakepads are worn.
Brake pads
For information on checking brake
disc wear, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Brake disc wear
Electric parking brake
This system does not require anyroutine servicing. However, in the
event of a problem, have the systemchecked by a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.
For more information, see "Driving - Electric parking brake - § Operating faults".
Only use products recommended by CITROËN or products of equivalent quality and specification. In order to optimise the operationof units as impor tant as the braking
system, CITROËN selects and offers very specific products.
To avoid damaging the electrical units, the use of a high pressure washer in the engine compar tment is strictly prohibited.

The kerb weight is equal to the unladen weight + driver (75 kg).
**
The weight of the braked trailer can be increased, within the GTW limit, if the GV W of the towing vehicle is reduced by an equal amount; warning,
towing using a lightly loaded towing vehicle may have an adverse effect on its road holding
To make use of the 300 kg load transfer, the driver must be alone in the vehicle with no luggage in the vehicle.
The GTW and towed load values indicated are valid up to a maximum altitude of 1 000 metres; the towed load mentioned must be reduced b
y 10 % for each additional 1 000 metres of altitude.
The speed of a towing vehicle must not exceed 60 mph (10 0 km/h) (comply with the legislation in force in your country).
High ambient temperatures may result in a reduction in the performance of the vehicle to protect the engine; if the ambient temperature is above 37 °C, limit the towed load.
