NOTESThere must be no present or stored faults.
Position the vehicle, with the engine running, in an open area with no interference.
Avoid tunnels and underground car parks.
Use the wiring diagrams Technical Note for Scénic II ph2, Espace IV ph2, Trafic II
ph2 or Kangoo 2.
Check the condition and connection of the GPS coaxial connector on the following components (bent pins, bad
contacts, etc.):
–Scénic II ph2 and Kangoo 2: 886 and 261.
–Espace IV ph2 and Trafic II ph2: 261 and 1551.
If the connector is faulty and if there is a repair method (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical wiring,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector; otherwise, replace the wiring.
Disconnect the GPS coaxial cable at the rear of component 261 and measure the resistance between the coaxial
cable signal connection and its shielding.
If the resistance is less than 30 Ω, disconnect the GPS coaxial cable from the cut-off plate at the rear and check
the insulation, continuity and absence of interference resistance on the GPS coaxial cable at the rear of
component 261.
If the connections are not correct, replace the coaxial cable.
If the connections are correct, replace the GPS aerial.
–Scénic II ph2 (see MR 370, Mechanical, 83C, On-board telematics system, Radio aerial: Removal -
Refitting)
–Trafic II ph2 (see MR 408, Mechanical, 83C, On-board telematics system, Navigation aerial: Removal -
Refitting)
–Espace IV ph2 (see MR 405, Mechanical, 83C, On-board telematics system, Navigation aerial: Removal -
Refitting)
–Kangoo 2 (see MR 417, Mechanical, 83C, On-board telematics system, Aerial: Removal - Refitting)

CONTINUED
If the resistance is greater than 30 Ω, check the supply voltage of component 1551 or 886 (4.5 V ± 0.5 V) at the
output of component 261.
If the voltage is not correct, contact the Techline.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance on the following connections:
Scénic II ph2 and Kangoo 2:
–connection code 46CB,
–connection code TB15,
between components 261 and 886.
Trafic II ph2 and Espace IV ph2:
–connection code 46CB,
–connection code TB15,
between components 261 and 1551.
If the connection or connections are faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A,
Electrical wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace the wiring.
If the fault is still present, contact the techline.
AFTER REPAIRRepeat the conformity check from the start.

ANGULAR POSITION
NOTESThere must be no present or stored faults.
Engine stopped, ignition on.
Remove component 261 without disconnecting the connectors.
Shake the LPN* radio navigation computer vigorously; parameter PR009 should be above or equal to 1˚/s.
Each time the LPN* radio navigation computer is stationary, PR009 should be very close to 0˚/s.
If the parameter does not change, contact the Techline.
AFTER REPAIRRepeat the conformity check from the start.
