In case of the interventions on the instrument panel, check the existence of the

instrument panel. For the vehicles corresponding to the pollution norm EURO 2000, at the X c onnector,
position 4 is “ OBD anti-pollution failure indicator”. The i nstrument panel is provided with thre e connectors having the following pl ugs

DISMOUNTING
Disconnecting battery.
Dismounting flexible shaft( speedometer cable) from the gearbox.
Dismounting control cable from the recyclin g flap.

dismounting the instrument panel from the dashboard.
DISM OUNTING
Disconnect the battery;
Dismount the dashboard lower fairing;
Disconnect the RPM sensor connector;
Dismount the speedo cable from the gearbox;
Dismount the speedo cable from instrument panel back part, by detaching it from clips, pushing
in the direction of the A and B arrows, then extract it acting in t he direction of C arrow. Remove the speedo cable under the dashboard.
REMOUNTING
Perform the dismounting operations in the reverse order.

OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT STILL ON
AFTER ENGINE STARTING
Check the oil pressure
The pressure is correct.
Replace the oil pressure switch. The pressure is not correct.
There is a failure in the oil circuit.
OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT IS NOT ON
WHEN CONTACT SWITCH ON
Place the wire from the oil pressure switch to the ground.
Wa r ning light is not on.
Check if the bulb is not burnt.
Warning light is on. Replace the oil pressure
switch.
Burnt bulb. Replace it. Bulb is not burnt . Check the bulb
supply wiring and fix it.
FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR
SHOWING ALWAYS FULL
Disconnect the connection wire t o the probe.
The indicator comes back
to zero. Re place the probe. The indicator
does not come to zero.Is there
any ground short-circuit of the connection
wi re to the probe?
Yes. Fix the wiring layout. No. Replace the indicator.

FUEL LEVEL TRANSMITTER REPLACEMENT
DISMOUNTING
Disconnect the battery.
Dismount the fuel tank-visiting cap, by acting upon the attachment screws.
Disconnect the transmitter connector from the rear wiring / fuel tank cap.
D etach the clips of the hoses connected to the fuel tank cap.
Rotate the probe attachment flange from right to left, by about 1/3 rotation, until it is released
from the attachment shoulders.
Pull out the assembly fuel tank cap-fuel pump-level transmitter;
Dismount the attachment screws of the fuel level transmitter.
REMOUNTING
Perform in the reverse order the dismounting operations, checking carefully the condition of
the tank cap-sealing gasket.
