WHAT IS A CONNECTED VEHICLE
A connected vehicle has technology thatallows your vehicle to connect to a mobilenetwork and for you to access a range offeatures. When used in conjunction with theLincoln Way app, it could allow you tomonitor and control your vehicle further, forexample checking the tire pressures, andthe vehicle location. For additionalinformation, refer to the local Lincoln website.

1.Make sure that the modem is enabledusing the vehicle settings menu.
2.Open the Lincoln Way app on yourdevice and log in.
3.Add your vehicle or select your vehicleif already added.
4.Select the option for vehicle details.
5.Select the option to activate your vehicle.
6.Make sure that the name on the screenmatches the name shown in your LincolnWay account.
7.Confirm that your Lincoln Way accountis connected to the modem.

Why does the Wi-Fi connectiondisconnect after successfulconnection?
•The network signal is weak. Move yourvehicle closer to the Wi-Fi router or to aplace where the network signal is notobstructed.
What can I do if I am close to a Wi-Firouter but the network signal strengthis weak?
•If your vehicle has a heated windshield,position your vehicle so that thewindshield is not facing the Wi-Fi router.
•If your vehicle has metallic tinting on thewindows but not on the windshield,position your vehicle so that thewindshield is facing the Wi-Fi router oropen the windows that are facing therouter.
•If your vehicle has metallic tinting on thewindows and the windshield, open thewindows that are facing the router.
•If your vehicle is in a garage and youhave the garage door closed, open thegarage door as it could block the signal.
Why can I not see a network I expectto see in the list of available networks?
•The network is hidden. Make the networkvisible and try again, or manually add anetwork in the Wi-Fi settings menu.
•Some network security types are notsupported, for example, WEP.
Why do software downloads take toolong?
•The network signal is weak. Move yourvehicle closer to the Wi-Fi router or to aplace where the network signal is notobstructed.
•Wi-Fi network is in high demand or hasa slow Internet connection. Use a morereliable Wi-Fi network.
Why does the software not updatewhen the system seems to connect toa Wi-Fi network and the signal strengthis excellent?
•No software update is available at thistime.
•Select automatic updates option in thesettings menu to enable automaticsoftware update or contact an authorizeddealer.
•There could be a connection problem.Test the network using another device.

You can create a Wi-Fi hotspot in yourvehicle and allow devices to connect to it foraccess to the Internet.

2.If the portal does not open on yourdevice, open a website and it redirectsto the vehicle network carrier’s portal.

3.Follow the instructions on the carrierportal to purchase a plan.
