te m with variable damping for impro ved driving
ch aracteristics. The all- round le vel control system
ensures the best possible suspension and con-
stant ground clearance, even with a laden vehicle.
When driving at speed, theve hicle is lo wered
automatically toimpr ove driving saf ety and to
re duce fuel consum ption. You also ha vethe
option of manually adjusting theve hicle le vel.

RACE START enables optimal vehicle acceleration
from a standstill. Forth is, a suitably high-g rip ro ad
sur face is requ ired, the tyres and vehicle must
also be in good condition.

ment (driTing) and overste ering driving condition

The rear wing impr ovesth eve hicle's driving stabil-
ity and automatically retracts and extends while
th eve hicle is in motion. Depending on the selec-
te d drive prog ram and theve hicle speed, it adopts
di.erent positions and thus adapts theve hicle's
aerodynamics tothe driving conditions.
Ve hicles with the AMG Aerodynamics pac kage are
/tted with a stationary rear wing (/ page 253).
Depending on which drive prog ram has been
selected, there ar wing automatically extends at a
speed greater than 80 km/h.
Depending on the drive prog ram, there ar wing
automatically retracts below a speed of app rox-
imately 40 km/h. Yo

% Vehicles with the AMG Aerodynamics pac kage
are /tted with a stationary rear wing. The
position of this rear wing is not adjustable.

th erefore, theve hicle's driving stability. You can
mo vethere ar wing into an inclined and a 0at
position.
When you mo vethere ar wing into the inclined
position, there ar axle output and the air resist-
ance increase. #
Unscr ewthe bolts 1with a soc ket wrench. #
Tilt th ere ar wing as far as it will go, upwards
into an inclined position, or down wards into a
0at position. #
Equip the bolts 1with a releasable, medium-
strength bolt lock and tighten them.

If yo u ha veactivated the function in the multime-
dia system (/ page 260),the image from the
re ve rsing camera is displa yed in the media display
when reve rsege ar is selected. Dynamic guide
lines show the path theve hicle will take with the
cur rent steering angle. This helps youto orient
yo urself and toavo id obstacles when reve rsing.
The reve rsing camera is only an aid. It is not a
substitute foryo ur attention tothe sur roundings.
The responsibility for safe manoeuvring and par k-
ing remains with you. Make sure that there are no
persons, animals or objects etc., in the manoeu-
vring area while manoeuvring and parking. Driving and parking
