ve hicle is lin ked with Mercedes me connect.
Ve hicle data is then transmitted tothe bac k-
end system. What data is transmitted
depends on which services are activated. Fur-
th er de tails can be found in the Mercedes me
connect term s and conditions and data pro-
te ction information. The function is count ry-
dependent.
If transmission of vehicle position 6is
active , Mercedes me connect services ha ve
been activated forth is vehicle which access
th eve hicle's geoposition. In which ins tances

ge ncy your voice can change and your tele-
phone call, e.g. an emer gency call, can
th ereby be unnecessarily dela yed.
R Familiarise yourself with thevo ice control sys-
te m functions before starting the journe y.
Wi th LINGU ATRO NIC, various applications in the
MBUX multimedia system are ope rable using
vo ice input. LINGU ATRO NIC is operational appr ox-
imately thirty seconds aTer the ignition is
switched on and is available forth e driver's seat
and front passenger seat.

If th eve hicle is /tted with the MBUX Interior
Assistant, selected functions of the multimedia
system can be operated contact-free. The MBUX
Interior Assistant can di.erentiate between driver
and front passenger interactions and de tects spe-

The system may be impai red or may not function
in thefo llowing situations:
R The camera in theove rhead control panel may
heat up due tooperating conditions. As a
re sult the camera may switch o. temp oraril y,
particular lyduring longer periods of operation
and at high outside temp eratures.
Do not touch or co verth e camera and wait
until the camera has cooled down and is avail-
able again. R
The camera is co vered, dirty, misted up or
scratched.
Wa it until the camera has cooled down before
cleaning the camera lens.
Clean the outside of the camera lens with a
dry or damp cotton clo th. Do not use micro/-
bre clo ths. Do no not tre mo vethe co ver when
cleaning.
R Recognition can be impaired byre0ective
clo thing, an adverse colour of clo thing or by
accessories, forex ample. R
Clothing being worn(hat, sha wl, scarf) may be
limiting the de tection area of the camera.
Ke ep the camera's /eld of vision clear.
