Three-zone climate control

The dial adjusts the temperature and the blower.
The LED in a button will light up when the func ­
tion is sw itched on.
IAUTO I Switching automatic mode on
Automatic mode ma inta ins a constant tempera­
ture inside the vehicle. A ir temperature, airflow
and a ir distribution are controlled automatica lly .
Adjusting the temperature
The temperature can be adjusted individ ually for
the dr iver and front passenge r us ing the dia ls ©

Using the dial@, you can manually adjust the
amount of air generated by the blower to suit
your preferences . To have the b lowe r regulated
automatically, press the
! AUTO I button.

will flow . To have the air distribution regu lated
automatically, press the
! AU TO ! button .
1- 1 Sw itching recirculation mode on/off
In recirculation mode, the air ins ide the vehicle is
circu lated and fi ltered. This prevents the unfil-

Press the buttons to t urn the funct ions on or off.
Use the con trols to ad just the temperature, the
b lower speed and the air distribution . The LED in
a button will light up when the function is
switched on. The front settings are shown in the
climate control system display and in the Info­
tainment system d isplay for a few seconds. The
d river and front passenger settings can be adjust ­
ed sepa rately .

IOFF ! Switching the climate control system
on /off
The IO FFI button switches the climate control
system on or off.
It a lso switches on when you
p ress the control. Airflow from outside is blocked
when the climate control system is switched off . The

OF F! button in the rear only switches the A/C
system on/off in the rear of the vehicle.
IA/Cl Switching cooling mod e on /off
T he air is not coo led an d humidity is not remove d

outside temperatures.

In recirc ulation mode, the air inside the vehicle is
c irculated and filtered. Th is prevents the unfil­
tered air outside the vehicle from entering the
vehicle interior. We recommend switch ing recir­
cu lation mode on when driving through a tunnel
or when sitt ing in traffic

Automatic mode main tains a cons tan t tempera­

Adjusting the temperature
Tempera tures betwee n 60 °F (+ 16 °() and 8 4 °F
(+ 28 °() can be set . Ou tside of this range, lo or hi
will appear in the climate control system disp lay .

vehicle is on an open road and there is no object ahead . If an object is detected ahead, the arrow
moves on the scale .
The green zone on the scale shows the stored d is­

lected is too close or may soon becom e too close,
t h e arrows move into the red zone on the scal e.
A WARNING
Improper use of the adaptive cruise contro l
can cause collisions, other acc idents and seri­
ous persona l injuries.
- Pressing the
!SET ! button when driving at
speeds be low 20 mph (30 km/h), will auto·
mat ically acce lerate the vehicle to 20 mph
(30 km/h), which is the min imum speed
that ca n be set .
@ Tips
-If you switch the ign it ion or the adaptive
cruise control off, the set speed is erased
from the system memory .
- The electronic stabilizat ion control (ESC)
and the anti -slip -regulation (ASR) are auto·
matically turned on when the adaptive
cruise contro l is turned on. Both systems
canno t be turned off if t he adaptive cruise
cont ro l is turned o n.

the instrument cluster turns on or off .
Indicator lights
• Ready:
The indicator light turns on when the
system is ready for use. The system can now be
operated .
• Not ready: The indicator light turns on if the
system is switched on but is inoperable . This may
be due to the following reasons :
- There is no lane marker line.
- The relevant lane marker lines are not detected
(for example, markings in a construction zone
or because they are obstructed by snow, dirt,
water or backlighting).
- The vehicle's speed is below the speed needed
to activate it, which is about 40 mph (65 km/
h).
- The lane is narrower than about 8 ft. (2.5 m) or
wider than 15
ft (4.5 m).
- The curve is too sharp.
Audi active lane assist
- The driver's hands are not on the steering
wheel.

Description
A pp lies to veh icles : w ith night v isio n ass ist
The night vision assist can detect, highlight and,
if necessary, warn about pedestrians and large
wild animals.
Night vision assistant with pedestr ian and wild
animal detection assists you in darkness by using
an infrared camera to monitor the area in front of
your vehicle, within the limits of the system.
It
can display objects up to approximately
1000 feet (300 meters) away. The heat image de­
tected by the camera is shown in the instrument
cluster display. Warm areas appear lighter and
cold areas appear darker.

Within the limits o f the system, night vision as­
sistant can detect pedestrians and wild animals
that are within the detect ion range between ap­
proximately 32 feet (10 meters) and 295 feet
(90 meters) in front of the vehicle. When it is
dark outside and the headlights are switched on,
detected pedestrians and w ild an imals are
marked in yellow ¢
