Service Power Steering
Now The power steering system has detected a
condition within the power steering system
that requires service immediately. See your
authorized dealer.
Power Steering Assist
Fault The power steering system has disabled power
steering assist due to a system error. See your
authorized dealer.
MyKey® Messages
Action / Description
MyKey active Drive
Safely Displayed when MyKey® is active.
MyKey not Created Displayed during key programming when MyKey® cannot be programmed.
Speed Limited to xx
MPH/km/h Displayed when starting the vehicle and
MyKey® is in use and the MyKey speed limit
is on.
Near Vehicle Top
Speed Displayed when a MyKey® is in use and the
MyKey speed limit is on and the vehicle speed
is near the selected top speed.
Check Speed Drive
Safely Displayed when a MyKey® is in use and the
optional setting is on and the vehicle exceeds
a preselected speed.
Buckle Up to Unmute
Audio Displayed when a MyKey® is in use and
Belt-Minder® is activated.
Could Not Program
Integrated Key Displayed when an attempt is made to
program a spare key using two existing
MyKeys.
Park Aid Messages
Action / Description
Check Park Aid Displayed when the transmission is in R (Reverse) and the park aid is disabled.
Check Rear Park Aid Displayed when the transmission is in R (Reverse) and the park aid is disabled.
Rear Park Aid On Off Displays the rear park aid status.

Objects Near
Passenger Seat Displayed when objects are by the passenger
seat. After the objects are moved away from
the seat, if the warning stays on or continues
to come on contact your authorized dealer as
soon as possible.
Reminder Messages
Action / Description
Steering column lock:
Remove and re-insert
key while turning
wheel to unlock Displays when you need to turn the steering
wheel in order to disengage the steering lock.
Shift to Park Displayed when the engine is turned off and
shift select lever is in any position other than
P (Park).
Engine On Displays when the driver’s door is opened, the
vehicle is on park and the engine is on.
Tire Messages Action / Description
LOW Tire Pressure Displays when one or more tires on your vehicle have low tire pressure.
Tire Pressure Monitor
Fault Displays when the tire pressure monitoring
system is malfunctioning. If the warning stays
on or continues to come on, contact your
authorized dealer.
Tire Pressure Sensor
Fault Displayed when a tire pressure sensor is
malfunctioning, or your spare tire is in use.

operates under these conditions, refer to

Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) in the

stays on or continues to come on, contact your
authorized dealer as soon as possible.

MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL
A.Fan speed control: Controls the volume of air circulated in your
vehicle. Adjust to select the desired fan speed.
B. Defrost: Press the button to distribute air to the windshield vents
and de-mister. Air distribution to instrument panel and footwell vents
turn off. You can use this setting to defog and clear the windshield of a
thin covering of ice.
C. Power: Press the button to turn the system on and off. Switching off
the climate control system prevents outside air from entering the vehicle.
D. A/C: Press the button to turn air conditioning compressor on or off.
Use air conditioning with recirculated air to improve cooling performance
and efficiency.
E. Recirculated air: Press the button to switch between outside air and
recirculated air. When you select recirculated air, the air currently in the
passenger compartment recirculates. This may reduce the time needed
to cool the interior (when used with A/C)and may reduce unwanted
odors from entering your vehicle.
Note: Recirculated air may turn off automatically (or be prevented
from turning on) in all airflow modes except MAX A/Cto reduce risk
of fogging.
F. Temperature control: Controls the temperature of the airflow in
your vehicle. Adjust to select the desired temperature.

G.MAX A/C: Press the button to maximize cooling. Recirculated air
flows through the instrument panel vents, air conditioning automatically
turns on, and the fan automatically adjusts to the highest speed.
H. Air distribution control: Press these buttons to turn airflow from
the windshield, instrument panel, or footwell vents on or off. The system
can distribute air through any combination of these vents.
I. Heated rear window: Turns the heated rear window on and off. See
Heated windows and mirrors later in this chapter for more
information.
AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL
Note: You can switch temperature units between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
See Menu features in theMyFord Touch orMyLincoln Touch chapter.
A. Power/Driver temperature control: Press the button to turn the
system on and off. Switching off the climate control system prevents
outside air from entering the vehicle.
Turn to increase or decrease the air temperature for the driver side of
the vehicle. This control also adjusts the passenger side temperature
when not in dual zone mode.
B. AUTO: Press the button to turn on automatic operation. Select the
desired temperature using the temperature control. The system adjusts
fan speed, air distribution, air conditioning operation, and selects outside
air or recirculated air to heat or cool the vehicle in order to maintain the

desired temperature. You can also use theAUTObutton to turn off dual
zone operation by pressing and holding the button for more than two
seconds.
C. Air distribution control: Press these buttons to turn airflow from
the windshield, instrument panel, or footwell vents on or off. The system
can distribute air through any combination of these vents.

zone mode.

flows through the instrument panel vents, air conditioning automatically
turns on, and the fan automatically adjusts to the highest speed.

of air circulated in the vehicle.
I. Heated seat controls (if equipped): Turn the driver or passenger
heated seats off and on. See Heated seatsin theSeatschapter for more
information.
J. Heated rear window: Turns the heated rear window on and off. See

information. If your vehicle is equipped with heated mirrors, this button
turns them on also.

A. MyTemp: Allows you to quickly adjust to a frequently used setting
with a single touch.
Press +or -to increase and decrease the temperature.
Touch and hold MyTempto save the current temperature. To access the
setting again, touch the MyTempindicator again.
B. Power/Fan speed control: Press the button to turn the system on
and off. Switching off the climate control system prevents outside air
from entering the vehicle.
Turn to increase or decrease the volume of air circulated in the vehicle.
C. DUAL: Press the button to allow the passenger to set their
temperature independent of the driver temperature.
