X Stop the vehicle without making any sudden steering or braking
maneuvers. Pay attention to the traffic conditionsasy ou do so.
X Secure the vehicle against rolling away (Y page 152).
X Check the tires and, if necessary, follow the instructions for a
flat tire (Y page 295).
X Check the tire pressure (Y page 320).
X If necessary, correct the tire pressure. Warning Tire
Malfunction The tire pressure in one or more tires has dropped suddenly. The
wheel position is shown in the multifunction display.
G WARNING
If you drive with aflat tire, there is arisk of the following hazards:
R af lat tire affects the ability to steer or brake the vehicle.
R You could lose control of the vehicle.
R continued driving with aflat tire will cause excessive heat build-
up and possibly afire.

engine is running.
ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) is deactivated due to a
malfunction
.Therefore, BAS (Brake Assist), COLLISION
PREVENTION ASSIST, COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS,
ESP ®
(Electronic Stability Program), the HOLD function and hill
start assist, for example, are also deactivated.
ATTENTION ASSIST is deactivated.

functions listed above. The wheels could therefore lock if you
brake hard, for example.

affected. The braking distance in an emergency braking situation

footwell and on the back of the driver's and
the front-passenger seat.

If the backrest of the front-passenger seat is
folded forward, rear seat passengers can
come in contact with parts of the seat
mechanism. particularly in the event of an

front-passenger seat is folded forward, they
must sit in the rear seat behind the driver.
The backrest of the front-passenger seat can
be folded forwards to increase the cargo
compartmentc apacity. X

back.
