Changing a fuse

The extraction tweezer and the spare fusestorage locations are fitted to the back of the dashboard fusebox cover.
For access to them:)open the glove box lid,)unclip the fusebox cover by pulling on the side,)remove the cover completely,)remove the tweezer.
Changing a fuse
Before changing a fuse, the cause of the failure
must be identified and rectified. ) Identify the faulty fuse by checking thecondition of its filament.
)
Use the special tweezer to extract the fuse
from its housing.) Always replace the failed fuse with a fuse
of the same rating. ) Check that the number marked on thebox, the rating marked on the fuse and the
tables below all agree.GoodFailed

The fusebox is placed in the engine compartment near the battery (left-hand side).

Access to the fuses

Unclip the cover.)
Change the fuse (see correspondingparagraph).)
When you have finished, close the cover carefully to ensure the sealing of thefusebox.
All work on the fuses in the fusebox
at the battery must be done by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Battery

The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it: )open the bonnet using the interior release
lever, then the exterior safety catch,)secure the bonnet stay,)lift the plastic cover on the (+) terminal.
The presence of this label, in particular with the Stop & Start system, indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification;the involvement of a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop is essential when replacing or disconnecting thebattery. Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of thebattery.

After refitting the battery by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop,the Stop & Star t system will only be active after a continuous period of immobilisation of the vehicle, aperiod which depends on the climaticconditions and the state of charge of the battery (up to about 8 hours). Procedure for char
ging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery.
