Touch screen
By touching the screen with your finger, you can control the audio
system and hands-free system, etc.
This illustration is for left-hand drive vehicle.

To avoid damaging the touch screen
Touch the screen lightly with your finger. If there is no response, remove
your finger from the screen and try again.
Remove any dirt on the screen by wiping with a soft cloth. Do not use
detergent.
When using the touch screen
If the screen is cold, the display may be dark, or the system may seem to
be operating slightly slower than normal.
The screen may seem dark and hard to see when viewed through sun-
glasses. Change your angle of viewing, adjust the display on the “Display
settings” screen (P. 318) or remove your sunglasses.

Setup menu
You can change the “touch screen” to your desired setting.
Press “SETUP” to display the “Setup” screen.

General settings
This screen is used for various settings such as language selection
and setting operation sounds.
Press “SETUP”.
Touch “General” on the “Setup” screen.
Select language (P. 317)
Beep on/off
Display captured image on/off
“On” or “Off” can be selected to
display captured image/iPod
cover art in the screen.
Animation on/off
The animation effect for audio
source selection screen can be
set to “On” or “Off”.
Personal data can be deleted.

When you complete settings, touch “OK”.

Touch “Language” on the “General settings” screen.
Select the desired language.
The desired one of the 7 lan-
guages can be selected.
Touch “OK”.
Delete personal data
Touch “Delete personal data” on the “General settings”
screen.
Touch “Delete”.
Check carefully beforehand, as
data cannot be retrieved once
deleted.

Display settings
Press “SETUP”.
Touch “Display” on the “Setup” screen.
Turn off screen
The screen is turned off. To turn it
on, press any button such as
“MEDIA” or “SETUP”.

When the headlights are turned on, the screen dims.
However, the screen can be switched to day mode by touching
“Day mode”.
The screen will stay in day mode when the headlights are turned on until
“Day mode” is touched again.
Adjusting the screen contrast/brightness
Touch “General” or “Camera” on the “Display settings” screen.
Adjust the display as desired
using “+” or “-”.
Select “Contrast” or “Brightness”
using the “<<” or “>>”.
Touch “OK”.
