Q: Are immobilizer-ECU connector C-310-1 and combination meter
connector C-102 in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Repair or replace the damaged component(s). Confirm that scan tool
MB991958 communicates normally.
STEP 4. Check the wiring harness between combination meter connector
C-102 (terminal 19) and immobilizer-ECU connector C-310-1 (terminal 1).

Q: Is the wiring harness between combination meter connector C-102
(terminal 1) and the battery in good condition?
NOTE: Also check key reminder switch connector C-310 for
loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals
pushed back in the connector. If key reminder switch
connector C-310 is damaged, repair or replace it.

YES: Go to Step 5.
NO: Repair the wiring harness. Check to see that all meters operate.
STEP 5. Measure the voltage at combination meter connector C-102 in
order to check the battery circuit of power supply system to the
combination meter.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" (LOCK) position.
2. Disconnect combination meter connector C-102, and measure at the
wirin
g harness side.

Q: Is combination meter connector C-102 in good condition?
YES: Go to Step 7.

connector C-04 for loose, corroded, or damaged
terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector. If
intermediate connector C-31 or joint connector C-04 is
damaged, repair or replace it.

Q: Is the malfunction eliminated?
YES: The procedure is complete. (If no malfunctions are found in all
