You can only shift to 2ndgearor reverse
ge ar. 6
Stop the vehicle.
6 Move the selector le ver to P.
6 Switch off the engine.
6 Wait at least ten seconds before restart-
ing the engine.
6 Move the selector lever to position D
or R.
In position D, the transmission shifts to
2nd gear,in Rit shifts to reverse gear.
6 Have the trans mission checked immedi-
ately at a qualified speci alist workshop,

approximate lythree seconds.
Parktronic switches off after approximate-
ly 30 seconds and the indicator lamp in
the Parktronic button lights up. Parktronic has malfunctioned and has
switched itself off. 6
Have the Parktronic checked as soon as
possible at a qualified specialist work-
shop, e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service
Centre. Only the red segments in the Parktronic
warning dis
plays are lit.
Parktronic switches off after 20 seconds. The Parktronic sensors are dirty or there is
in
terference. 6
Clean the Parktronic sensors
(=
page 269).
6 Switch on the ignition again. There may be interference from an exter-
nal source of radio or ultrasonic waves. 6
Check the Parktronic functions at an-

Briefly press the mirror-folding button*

mirror click into place.
The mirror housing has been re-engaged
and you can adjust the mirror as normal
( = page 150). A side window does not close complete-
ly when you pull the switch beyond the
pressure point and then release it. !

Open the side window again.

closed.

entrapment protection function switched
off.
