Mini
mum distance
If there is an obstacle within this range, all
the warn ing lamps light up and a signal
sounds. If your vehicle's distance falls
below the minimum distance, the distance
may no longer be shown. Warnin
g displa ys
The warning displays show the distance
between the sensor and the obstacle.
The warning display for the front area is
located on the cockpit above the centre air
vents. The warn ing display for the rear area
is at the rear in the roof lining. Front are
awarning display

The warning display for each side of the
vehicle is divided into six yellow and two
red segments. Parkt ronic is activated if the
frame is lit.
The gear lever or selector lever positi on
determines which warning display is acti-
vated. Vehicles with manual transmission:

One or more segments light up as the vehi-
cle approaches an obstacle, depend ing on
the veh icle's distance from the obstacle.
From the 7th segment, you will hear an
interm ittent warning signal. From the
8th segment, a continuous warning signal
sounds for a maximum of three seconds.

The switch is located on the upper section
of the centre console.

ple up a trailer, PTS isdeac-
tivated for the rear area as soon as you
have established an electrical connection
between your vehicle and the trailer.
! Detach th etrailer tow hitch when you do not
require it. The minimum detection range of PTS
to an obstacle refers to the bumper, not the ball
co up ling.

Roofracks recommended for Mercede s-
Benz are specially developed and tested. These
ro of racks conform to DIN standard 75302 and
ar ealso subjected to crash tests and durability
tests. !
Mercede s-Benz recommends that youo nly
use roof rack syst ems which have been tested
and appr oved for Mercede s-Benz. This helps to
avoid damage to the vehicle.
Stow the load on the roof rac kin such a way that
yo ur vehicle is not damaged during the journey.
Make sure that:
! you can raise the sliding /tilting * sunroof
fully
! you can open the boot lid fully

6 Fasten the supports there. Comply with
the manufacturer's installation instruc-
tions.
! Stow the load on th eroof rack in such a way

6 Push the skis into the skibag from the
boo t.

until the skis are secured in the skibag.

6 Pull the lash ing strap tight by the loose
end. Removing the skis and folding up the skibag

Loosen the two lashing straps.
6 Detach the hook from the securing
ring.
6 Take the skis out of the skibag.
6 Close the flap in the boot.
6 Flatten the ski bag and fold it up.
6 Place the skibag in therear sea tba ck-
rest.
6 Fasten the Vel cro fastener.
6 Fold the cover upwards.

bo ot separator down fully by hand.
6 Press the PRESS label on the right and
left-hand sides on the two hinges to
engage them. Removing the skibag (Coupé)
The skibag can be removed for cleaning or
drying.

Open the boot lid.
6 Press button 1.
The flap opens downwards.
6 Press button 1more firmly until the
skibag frame comes loose.

therefore load your vehicle in accordance
