above the boot lid.
You can both unlock and open the boot at
the same time from the driver's seat.
The boot lid button is on the lower section
of the driver's door.

the boot lid button on the driver's door

The indicator lamp lights up. It remains
lit until you close the boot again. Closing autom
atically from the insi de*You can close the boot lid from the driver's
seat on veh icles with the remote boot clos-
ing feature*.
The boot lid buttons are on the lower sec-

Closing automatically from the outside*
You can close an open boot from the out-
side on vehicles with the remote boot clos-
ing feature*. You are then able to centrally
lock the vehicle if it is equipped with
KEYLESS GO* (
=page 82).
i Do not leave the key in the boot. You could
otherwise be locked out.

The closing button is on the inside of the
boot lid on the right-hand side.

in its upper range of movement whe nclosing,

Automatic closing and locking with
KEYLESS GO*
On vehicles KEYLESS GO*, there are two
separate buttons in the boot lid for:
! closing the boot only
! closing the boot and centrally locking
the vehicle at the same time

To close the boot:
6 Press closing button 1.
To close the boot and centrally lock the
vehicle:
6 Press KEYLESS GO button 2.
i The boo tlid reopens after clo sing if the
KEYLE SSGO key is in the vehicle. The vehicle is
locked automatically once
you have pul led away.
You can open a door from the inside at any
time, even if it has been locked.
i The doors unlock automa tically in an acci-
dent ifthe force ofthe impact exceeds a prede-
termined leve l.
The vehicle is locked automatically once the igni-
tion is switched on and the wheels begin toturn.
There is there fore a risk of being locked out
when the vehicle is being pushe dor when the
vehi cle is on a dynamometer.

Opening and closing
You can lock or unlock the vehicle centrally
from the inside using the central locking
switches. This may be useful if you wish to
unlock the passenger door from the ins ide
or lock the vehicle before pulling away, for
example.
i Youcan open a door from the inside at any
time, ev enif it has bee nlocked.
i It is not possible to unlock the vehicle cen-
trall yfro mt he inside if it was previous lylocked
fro mthe outside using the key or KEYLESS GO*.
In this ca se, you can only lock the vehicle cen-
tral lyif both doors are closed. The central
locking sw itch is located on the
upper section of the centre console.
