The socket can be used for accessories
with a maximum power consumption of
18 0W.
If your vehicle isequipped with a non-
smoking package*, a stowage compart-
ment with a 12V socket is fitted instead of
an ashtray.

obtained ata qualified specialist workshop, e.g.
at a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre.
The functions and servic esavailable toyou when
making a call differ depending on your mob ile
phone model and your ser vice provider.
The telephone bracket for the mobile
phone is in the armrest.
6 To open the telephone compartment

If you insert the mobile phone into the tel-
ephone bracket, you can only speak to the
person you are calling using the hands-free
system.
! Do not attempt toremove the mobile phone
together wit hthe te lephone bracket. You could
otherwis edamage the telephone bracket.
6 Remove the round cover on the rear of
the mobile phone and keep itin a safe

hands-free system, pull over in a suitable

Mobile phones used inside the vehicle could
interfere with the vehicle's electronics and
thereby impair the correct operation of the
veh icle and your own safety if the phone is
used:
! without an exterior aerial
! without an exterior aerial whi chhas
be en fitted in such a way as to be reflec-
tion-free
! with an incorrectly fitted exterior aerial
The excessive levels of electromagnetic
radiation could also be damaging to your
health and the health of others. For thi
sreason, only have the exterior aerial
fitted at a qualified specialist workshop
which has the necessary specialist knowl-
edge and tools to carry out th ework
required. Mercedes-Benz recom mends that
you use a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre for
this purpose. In particular, work relevant to
safety or on safety-related systems must be
carried out at a qualified specialist work-

The mobile phone is connected to the
hands-free system and the multi-func-
tion steering wheel. The battery
isch arged, depen ding on
it s charge status and the position of the
key inthe ignition. The charging proc-
ess is indicated on the mobile phone
display.
i The vehicle reads the telephone books
st ore d on theSIM card and inthem obile phone
me mory. If the same entr y is stored in both tele-
phone books, both entri eswill be displayed in
th e multi-function display.
You can make a call using the sand
t buttons on the multi-function steer-
ing wheel. You can control other functions
of the mobile phone using the operat ing
system ( =page 133).
i When you remove the key from the ignition
lo ck, the mobile phone remains switched onfor
ap proxi mately ten minut es(run-on time). If you
ma ke a call during thi stime, the mobilep hone
wi llbe switched off approximately ten minutes
af ter you have hung up. Run-o
ntim e:
Yo u can change the run-on time by creating an
additional telephone boo kentry on the SIM card.
Fo r the name, enter "Nachlaufzeit" (run-on time)
and for thenumber, enterafigure between "1"
and "30" (minute s). If you do not enter a figure or
you enter an invalid figure, a run-on time of
appr oximately ten minutes will still apply.

Own number sending:
The hands -free system cannot tell whether own
nu mb er sending is enabled or disabled in the
mobile phon e.The telephone number is there-
fore always sentby defau lt.
By creating an additional telephone book entry
on the SIM card , you can switch the own number
sending function on or off:
For the name, ent er"CALLID" and for the
number ,enter a "0" or a "1". Entering:
! "0" enable sown number sending
! "1" dis ables own number sending

Features
The remote control integrated in the rear-
vi ew mirror allows you to operate up to
three different door and gate systems.
You can program the transmitter buttons.
i The garage door opener is only available for
certain countries. Observe the legal require-
ment sinall cou ntrie sc oncerned.
Some garage door ope ning systems cannot be
operated using the remote control. You may
ob tain more detailed information from a
Mercedes-Benz Service Centre. Remote contro

6 Switch on the ignition.
6 Press and hold one of transmitt erbut-
tons 2to4 on the integrated remote
contro l.
Indicator lamp 1starts to fl ash after a
short while. It flashes about once a sec-
ond.
i Indicat or lamp1 flashes the first time the
transmitter button is programmed. If this trans-
mitt er bu tton has already been programmed,
indi cator lamp 1only starts flashing onceevery
sec ond after 20 seconds.
6 Continue to keep the transmitter but-
ton pressed.
6 Point the portable garage door remote
control and transmitt erat the left-hand
side of the rear-view mirror, from a dis-
tance of 5 to 20 cm. Garage door opener*

approximately 20 seconds and did not
begin to flash rapidly:

and alter the distance between the

trol and the rear-view mirror.
6 Release the transm itter buttons on the
int egrated and portable remote con-

If the garage door syst emworks with a roll-
ing code , youmust synchronise the remote con-
trol in the rear-view mirror with the garage door
syste m'sreceiver after you have programm ed
th ei ntegrated remote control.

e.g. the sections on "Sy nchronising the transmit-
ter" or "Regis tering a new transmitter". Opening
/closing the garage door
Once programmed, the integrated remote
control assumes the function of the garage
do or syste m's remote control. Please read
the Operating Instructions for the garage
doo rsystem.
6 Switch on the ignition.
6 Press the transmitter button in the
rear-view mirro rwhich you have pro-
grammed to operate this garage door.
Garage door system with a fixed code:
Indicator lamp 1lights up continu-
ously. Garage door system with a rolling code:
Indicator lamp
1flashes briefly and
then lights up for approximately two
seconds. This is repeated for up to
20 seconds.
i The transm itter transmits a signal for as long
as thetran sm itter button is pres sed.After ama x-
imum of 20 seconds the transmission is stopped
and indicator lamp 1flash es. Press the tra ns-
mitter button again if necessary. Cl

properly secured.
The floormats must always be correctly
se cu red using pre ss-stu d faste ners 1 and
2 .
Check that the floormats are secure before
starting a journey and reposition them if
necessary. An incorr ectly secured floormat
could slip and thus impair correct operation
of the pedals, e.g. by becomin gentan gled
with the clutch pe dal.
