AFTER
REPARATION
Perform the operations from “recommendations” for repara tion confirmation.
Fix a ny other possible failures.
Erase the failures memoriz ed by the injection computer.
Perform a conformity checking by means of the CLIP tester.
C heck the battery and electric mass condition of the veh icle.
Fi x if necessary.
C heck the connection and the connector condition of the actuator s relay .
C hange the connector if necessary.
C heck the presence of +12 Volts at pin 1 actuators relay.

Fix if necessary
If the problem is persisting after these checking, fix the other failures the n perform the conformity
checking.
RE CO MMENDATIONS
Conditions for diagnostic appl ication for memorized failure:
Set t he contact on then enter in dialog with the injection computer by means
of the CLIP tester.
REMARK: This failure is of high importance. It is then necessary to be
tr eate d before the following ones.

Ch eck for leakage on exhaust line.
Fi x it if necessary.
Pe rform a visual checking of the catalyst condition. O deforma tion may be the explanation for its
non-operation.
Ch eck if the catalyst has not previously suffered therma l shocks.
If cold wate r is getting on a warm catalyst it may cause its damaging.
Ch eck for oil or cooling fluid excessive consumption Ask the client if he has used an additive or a
sim ilar product. This type of product may inhibit the catalyst and render it inefficient on short or
l ong term.
Ch eck if there was any combustion misfires. These may damage the catalyst.
Ch eck during a drive test for any noises during running.
If the damaging cause has been found, you may replace the catalyst. If you replace the catalyst
without det ecting the cause, the new catalyst may be damaged al so very qui ckly.
