Check A/T fluid level. Refer to AT- 1 6 , "

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Refill ATF.
2. CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check line pressure at idle with selector lever in R position. Refer to
AT- 2 6 0 , "
Line Pressure Test" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> 1. Remove control valve assembly. Refer to AT- 4 0 4 ,
"Control Valve Assembly and Accumulators" .
2. Check the following items:
–Valves to control line pressure (Pressure regulator
valve, pressure modifier valve, pilot valve and pilot fil-
ter)
–Line pressure solenoid valve
3. Disassemble A/T. Refer to AT- 4 2 4 , "
Disassembly" .
4. Check the following item:
–Oil pump assembly. Refer to AT- 4 4 3 , "Oil Pump" .
3. CHECK STALL TEST
Check stall revolution with selector lever in 1 and R positions.
Refer to AT- 2 5 7 , "
Stal l Te st" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
OK in “1” position, NG in R position>>1.Disassemble A/T. Refer to
AT- 4 2 4 , "
Disassembly" .
2. Check the following items:
–Reverse clutch assembly. Refer to AT- 4 6 4 , "Reverse
Clutch" .
–Low & reverse brake assembly. Refer to AT- 4 8 3 , "Low

1. SYMPTOM CHECK
Check symptom. Refer to AT- 2 7 0 , "
Cruise Test — Part 1" .
Is Vehicle does not creep backward in R position OK?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Go to AT- 2 9 7 , "
Vehicle Does Not Creep Backward In “R” Position" .
2. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Perform self-diagnosis. Refer to AT- 2 4 2 , "
SELF-DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (WITH CONSULT-II)" or AT-
246, "Diagnostic Procedure Without CONSULT-II" .
Do the self-diagnosis results indicate vehicle speed sensor
·A/T (revolution sensor), overrun clutch solenoid
valve, torque converter clutch solenoid valve, shift solenoid valve A,B or vehicle speed sensor·MTR circuit?
YES >>Check damaged circuit. Refer to the following items.
–AT- 3 3 2 , "VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR·A/T (REVOLUTION SENSOR)"
–AT- 3 6 8 , "TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID VALVE"
–AT- 3 5 0 , "SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE A"
–AT- 3 5 6 , "SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE B"
–AT- 3 6 2 , "OVERRUN CLUTCH SOLENOID VALVE"
–AT- 3 3 9 , "DTC VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR MTR"
NO >> GO TO 3.
3. CHECK ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR
Check accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor. Refer to AT- 3 4 5 ,
"ACCELE RATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Repair or replace accelerator pedal position (APP) sen-
sor.
4. CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check line pressure at stall point with selector lever in D position.
Refer to AT- 2 6 0 , "
Line Pressure Test" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> GO TO 8.
