Automatic tuning Continue to press the button for approximately 0.5 seconds or more to switch to the automatic tuning mode. In the automatic tuning mode, the radio will automatically tune in to a receivable
station .
NOTE
If the reception conditions are poor during automatic tuning or scanning, "DX" (sensitivity indication light) comes on and sensitivity is automatically improved for reception in better condition.
SCAN (Scan button)-9 If the button is pressed , all receivable stations will be received .
The frequency of each received station will flash in the frequency display window for approximately five seconds. Then the turner will change to a higher frequency.
Press the SCAN button once again while receiving the desired
station to cancel the scan and listen to that station.

Memorizing stations
As many as 6 LW, 6 MW and 6 FM or 6AM and 6 FM station frequencies can
be memorized.
Follow these steps.

Nauhan kuuntelu
1. Tarkasta, ettii nauha on tiukasti kelattu. Paina kasetti
suoraan ohjausuraansa ja kasettisoitin alkaa toimia automaattisesti. Kun kasetti painetaan sisiiiin, alkaa soitin toimia automaattisesti , vaikka radio olisi piiiillii. 2. Paina Dolby kohinanvaimennusipainiketta (13) kun soitat Dolby NR merkittyjii kasetteja. Dolby kohinan vaimennu
spiiri viihentiiii nauhan kohinaa. Merkkivalo palaa piirin
ollessa toiminnassa. Dolby jiirjestelmii kytkeytyy pois piiiiltiikun painat painiketta toistamiseen .

. Press
one of the memory select buttons (11) for at least two seconds. The sound will be interrupted while the
frequency is being memorized. The number of the pressed
memory select button and the memorized frequency are
displayed.
3. The preset memory setting is recalled by pressing the button and releasing it within two seconds.
NOTE
Disconnecting the battery terminal erases all frequencies
stored in memory.
To listen to a tape
1. After checking to be sure the tape in the cassette is wound tightlY, push a cassette straight into the slot; the cassette
tape player will automatically start playing. When a cassette is inserted, the cassette tape player will begin playing even if the radio is being used. 2. Press the Dolby noise reduction button (13) when playing Dolby NR encoded tapes. The Dolby noise reduction cir cuitry reduces tape hiss. The indicator illuminates when the circuit is activated. Pressing the Dolby noise reduction button a second time will switch off the Dolby system.

METAL button (12). The indicator will illuminate when the button is pressed .

4. To adjust the volume and tone, refer to the section "Adjusting radio volume and tone" on page 187. 5. Press two PRO buttons (8) simultaneously. The tape will then run opposite to its current direction, as shown by the
tape direction indicators (22). If the button is not pressed,
the tape direction will change automatically at the end of the tape. 6. Press the Eject button (6); the tape will automatically stop and the cassette will be ejected. 7. For information concerning the handling of cassette tapes,
refer to the section "Handling of cassette tapes".
How to fast forward/rewind the tape
Fast forward Press the PRO button (8) which indicates the same direction as the lit tape direction indication lamp to fast forward.
Fast rewind Press the PRO button (8) which indicates the opposite direction of the lit tape direction indication lamp to rewind.
Lightly press one of the unpressed buttons (8) to stop the tape during fast forward or rewind operation.

Handling of cassette tapes EH 02 B-A
& CAUTION To maintain the cassette tape player in good condition, observe the following precautions.
(1) Do not use cassette tapes longer than C-90, otherwise sound quality and tape durability will be greatly dimin
ished .
(2) Keep the cassette tape in its case to protect from tape
looseness and dust when it is not used . (3) Keep the cassette tape away from direct sunlight. heat and
magnetic fields such as the radio speakers . (4) Before inserting the cassette , make sure that the label is adhered securely to the cassette. (5) A loose tape should be corrected before use.

tended when the radio is switched on.
Befor e switching on the radio, make sure
that there is no one near the antenna. If the radio is switched OFF or the key is
set to the "LOCK " position, the antenna
will be automatically retracted. Before
driving into a vehicle wash or low-roof area, make sure that the antenna is
retracted .
Be sure to keep the antenna clean, be
cause it may not function correct ly if it is dirty with mud or sand.
