9.Remove the two fasteners that securethe rear roof panel at the C-pillar usingthe provided head driver and ratchet.
10.Remove the four fasteners on eachside of your vehicle that secure therear roof panel to the vehicle usingthe provided head driver and ratchet.
11.With the tailgate window open, grabthe opening with one hand andslightly lift with the other hand. Liftthe rear roof panel straight up andoff. Place the rear roof panel on a softsurface to prevent damage.
Note:Store the rear roof panel with thetailgate window open to prevent damageto the glass seal.
12.To install, reverse the removalprocedure. Torque the fasteners thatsecure the rear roof panel to yourvehicle to 15 ± 2 lb.ft (20 ± 3 Nm).
Note:Make sure the locating pins on therear roof panel sit flush in your vehicle wheninstalled.
Note:Do not overtighten the fasteners. Youcan strip the fasteners if they areovertightened.
REMOVING AND INSTALLING THEREAR ROOF PANEL - 2-DOOR
Remove the front panels before removingthe rear roof panel.
1.Open the rear doors.
2.Open the tailgate window. SeeOpening and Closing the Windows(page 113).
3.Locate the wire harness and washerhose on the driver side rear insidecorner of the vehicle.
4.Release the locking tab by pushing itdown.
5.Push the tab inward when pulling downto disconnect and remove the wiringharness.
6.Push the release button on the hoseconnector and pull down to removethe washer hose.

7.Secure the wiring harness to the bodyside by plugging it into the receptacleand pushing up on the locking tab.
8.Secure the washer hose by snapping itinto the top of the body sidereceptacle.
9.Remove the fasteners on each sidethat secure the rear roof panel at theC-pillar using the provided head driverand ratchet.
10.Install the fasteners back to theC-pillar.
11.Remove the four fasteners on eachside of your vehicle that secure therear roof panel to the vehicle usingthe provided head driver and ratchet.
12.With the tailgate window open, grabthe opening with one hand andslightly lift with the other hand. Liftthe rear roof panel straight up andoff. Place the rear roof panel on a softsurface to prevent damage.

Removing and Installing theModular Roof Panel (If Equipped)
Store the modular roof panel in a safeplace when you remove it to prevent partdamage.
Modular roof panelA.
1.Pull and hold the spring-loaded slide.
2.Turn the L-shaped latch.
3.Repeat steps 1 and 2 on the other latchto unlock the modular roof panel fromthe roof.
4.Push up on the front of the panel.
5.Slide the panel forward to remove itfrom your vehicle.
6.To install, reverse the removalprocedure.
Note:Make sure the modular roof panelslides back into place and the locating pinssit in the front latch receiver when installingthe modular roof panel.
Note:You do not need to pull and hold thespring-loaded slides to turn the latches tolock the modular roof panel.
Note:When driving with only the modularroof panel removed, make sure to roll downthe windows.

Fully Opening the Soft Top
1.Remove the rear quarter windows andthe rear window. See RemovableWindows (page 371).
Note:Do not drive unless all rear windowsare removed or installed.
2.Open the soft top to the partially openposition.
3.Press down the handle on the driverside of your vehicle to unlatch the softtop. Lift and rotate the soft toprearward, making sure to keep yourhands and fingers free of themechanism.
4.Make sure the soft top fabric foldsproperly and is not touching themechanism when folding.

Note:If the temperature is 32°F (0°C) orbelow or if there is ice build-up on the softtop fabric or windows, do not:
•Open or close the soft top.
•Lift the rear window to access thecargo area.

CLEANING THE EXTERIORPRECAUTIONS
Immediately remove fuel spillages, birddroppings, insect deposits and road tarfrom your vehicle. These items may causedamage to your vehicle’s paintwork or trimover time.
Remove any exterior accessories, forexample antennas, before entering a carwash.
Cleaning the Exterior Precautions- Raptor, Sasquatch or Soft Toppackage
Wash your vehicle by hand, or by using atouchless commercial wash with nomechanical tracks on the floor.
CLEANING HEADLAMPS ANDREAR LAMPS
We recommend that you only use cold orlukewarm water containing car shampooto clean the headlamps and the rearlamps.
Do not scrape the lamps.
Do not wipe lamps when they are dry.
CLEANING WINDOWS AND WIPERBLADES
To clean the windshield and wiper blades:
•Clean the windshield with anon-abrasive glass cleaner.
Note:When cleaning the interior of thewindshield, avoid getting any glass cleaneron the instrument panel or door panels.Wipe any glass cleaner off these surfacesimmediately.
•Clean the wiper blades with washerfluid or water applied with a softsponge or cloth.
Note: Do not use razor blades or othersharp objects to clean or remove decalsfrom the inside of the heated rear window.This can cause damage not covered by thevehicle Warranty.
CLEANING CHROME, ALUMINIUMOR STAINLESS STEEL
We recommend that you only use a carshampoo, a soft cloth and water onbumpers and other chrome, aluminium orstainless steel parts.
Note:For additional information andassistance, we recommend that you contactan authorized dealer.
Note:Rinse the area well after cleaning.
Note:Do not use abrasive materials, forexample steel wool or plastic pads, as theycan scratch these surfaces.
Note:Do not use chrome cleaner, metalcleaner or polish on wheels or wheel covers.
CLEANING WHEELS
Only use a recommended wheel and tirecleaner to clean the wheels weekly. Foradditional information and assistance, werecommend that you contact anauthorized dealer.

CLEANING THE ENGINECOMPARTMENT

When washing the engine compartment:
•Never wash or rinse the engine while itis hot or running.
•Never wash or rinse any ignition coil,spark plug wire or spark plug well.
•Cover the battery, power distributionbox, and air filter assembly to preventwater damage.
Note:If your vehicle has an engine coverremove the cover before application ofshampoo and degreaser.
•Spray an approved engine shampooand degreaser on all parts that requirecleaning and rinse with water.
CLEANING THE CONVERTIBLETOP
Remove lint with a lint roller or vacuumwith a soft bristle brush.
Wash with an approved high qualityconvertible top cleaner and protectant.
Note:Do not use stiff bristle brushes,abrasive materials or household cleaningproducts.
Note:High pressure water may cause waterleaks and possible seal damage to theconvertible top.
Cleaning the Soft Top Windows
We recommend that you only clean thesoft top windows in the following way:
1.Use only a microfiber cloth, cold orlukewarm water, and a mild soap andwater solution to clean the soft topwindows in a circular motion.
2.Rinse thoroughly with cold water, thenwipe with a soft, damp cloth.
3.Use a small amount of soft top windowcleaner or equivalent to remove finescratches and to improve visibility andprovide UV protection to help preventyellowing.

Note:Test any cleaner on an inconspicuousarea before applying broadly.

REMOVING YOUR VEHICLE
FROM STORAGE
When your vehicle is ready to come out ofstorage, do the following:
•We recommend that you change theengine oil before you use your vehicleagain.
•Wash your vehicle to remove any dirtor grease film build-up on windowsurfaces.
•Check windshield wipers for anydeterioration.
•Check the underhood for any foreignmaterials such as mice or squirrelnests.
•Check the exhaust for any foreignmaterials.
•Check tire pressures and set tireinflation per the Tire Label.
•Check brake pedal operation. Corrodedbrake rotors could cause brake noise.Drive your vehicle and gently apply andrelease the brakes repeatedly over a10-minute drive to reduce the corrosionfrom the brakes.
•Check fluid levels (including coolant,oil and gas) to make sure there are noleaks, and fluids are at recommendedlevels.
•If you remove the battery, clean thebattery cable ends and check fordamage.
