The vehicle is equipped with an elect rical fuse
which pr otects it against overvoltage in the
mains suppl y.This electrical fuse may trip dur-
ing se vere thunderstorms, forex ample, and
may cause the fuse in the building totrip or
may inter rupt thech arging process. These
functions pr otect theve hicle.
ATer the fuse in the building is switched on
again, thech arging process resumes automat-
icall y.Fo llowing an inter ruption in the po wer
supply without the fuse in the building being
tripped, it may take up to te n minutes for
ch arging toresume automaticall y.Ending t

ch arging cable connector is still loc ked, con-
ta ct a quali/ed specialist workshop. #
Close the soc ket co ver and the soc ket 0ap. #
Remo vethech arging cable connector from
th e mains soc ket, or from the soc ket on the
wa llbox/charging station, and st owtheve hi-
cle's charging cable safely in theve hicle
(/ page 194).

GER Risk of death when charging at a
damaged soc ket
The charging process uses high voltage.
If th ech arging cable, theve hicle soc ket or the
mains soc ket are damaged, you could receive
an elect ric shoc k. #
Only use an undamaged charging cable. #
Avoid mechanical damage such as crush-
ing, abrading or driving overth e cable. #
Have a damaged vehicle soc ketre placed
at a quali/ed specialist workshop as
soon as possible. #
Never connect thech arging cable to a
damaged vehicle soc ket. Driving and parking

ch arging cable and charging cable con-
nector During
thech arging process, thech arging
cable and charging cable connector can heat
up within their permissible limit values.
The permissible limit values are in0uenced by
th efo llowing factors:
R the po wer supply system and thech arging
cable are not damaged
R the inst ructions for handling thech arging
cable and the control element on the
ch arging cable ha vebeen obser ved #
Ifth ech arging cable or charging cable
connector becomes too hot, ha vethe
po we r supply system checked. *

TE Damaged or dirty vehicle soc ket
when the soc ket 0ap is open #
Alwayske ep the soc ket co ver and the
soc ket 0ap closed when there is no ch
arging cable connected. This pr otects
th eve hicle soc ket from dirt and damage. #
Make sure that the soc ket co ver is
closed proper lybefore closing the soc ket
0ap. This can otherwise result in damage
which may pr event the soc ket 0ap from
being opened again. *

excessive forc e (maximum 300 N)
to insert thech arging cable connector into the
ve hicle soc ketto the stop. You may otherwise

Press the centre rear section of soc ket 0ap
1 and swing the soc ket 0ap forw ards and
open.
The % indicator lamp 2and status dis-
play 3light up white. %
When theve hicle is switched on (the õ
displ ayis lit in the Instrument Display), soc ket
0ap 1cannot be opened. #
Press cat ch7 tothe leT and fold open
soc ket co ver5.
% The CCS charging cable connector requ ires
connections 6and 8. Therefore, it is nec-
essary toopen bo thparts of soc ket co ver5. #
Insert the CCS charging cable connector into
th eve hicle soc ketto the stop.
Make sure that thech arging cable is not taut
when inser ted.
The # indicator lamp 4and status dis-
play 30ash orange and, as soon as the high-
vo ltage battery is charge d, green.
When thech arging cable is connected totheve hi-
cle, theve hicle cann otbe star ted or mo ved.
At the start of thech arging process, thech arge
le ve l display is shown in the Instrument Display
with a charging prediction. The charging predic-
tion either refers to the predicted charge leve l at
th e set departure time, or the time at which the
high- voltage battery will be fully charge d. Driving and parking

ch arging capacity of 10 kW or highe r,th eva lue
in thech arge leve l display is rounded o. and
shown without a decimal place.
% The value in item 3varies depending on the
setting of thech arging process. It displ aysthe
ch arging prediction, e.g. the time at which the
selected charge leve l will be reached or the
ch arge leve l at the pre-selected departure

When you operate or prog ram a garage door
with an integ ratedga rage door opener, per-
sons can become trapped or struck bythe

ment. Before prog
ramming thega rage door opener, park
