Setting Routes for Navigation
pause rouTe/resume rouTe
Pause or resume the navigation to the current set destination.
Press [Pause Route] or [Resume Route] on bottom of the map screen.
cancel rouTe
Cancels the route to the set destination.
Press [Menu] > [Route] > [Cancel Route] on the map screen.
Press and hold [Pause Route] on the map screen to cancel the currently set destination.
rouTe opTions
Various route options are available to search to the set destination.
1. Press [Menu] > [Route] > [Route options] on the map screen.
Or press [Navigation Menu] > [Route] > [Route options] on the home screen.
2. Select desired route conditions.
䠐[Recommended]: Guides the optimal route to the destination by considering the real-
time traffic information, distance and cost.
䠐[Alternate]: Guides the alternate route to the destination.
䠐[Add Waypoint]: Edits the route.
䠐[Route Avoid Options]: Modifies various route options according to your needs.

ediT rouTe
This feature allows you to travel through the searched routes by editing the current route.
Waypoints can be added/deleted/edited and the order can be changed.
adding waYpoinTs
Adds waypoint(s) after setting the destination. Up to 2 waypoints can be added.
If 2 waypoints have been added, add a new waypoint after deleting an added waypoint.
1. Press [Menu] > [Route] > [Edit Route] on the map screen.
Or press [Navigation Menu] > [Route] > [Edit Route] on the home screen.
2. Press [Add Waypoint].
3. Set a waypoint by using search menu.
4. Repeat Step 2 to 3 to add another waypoint.
5. Press [Recalculate].
6. Select desired route conditions.

1. Press [Menu] > [Route] > [Edit Route] on the map screen.

2. After pressing the waypoint or destination, press [Show Map] or [Delete].
changing rouTe order
In case of any added waypoint, the route order between the waypoints or between the
waypoint(s) and the destination can be changed.
1. Press [Menu] > [Route] > [Edit Route] on the map screen.
Or press [Navigation Menu] > [Route] > [Edit Route] on the home screen.
2. After pressing the waypoint or destination, press [Change Order].
3. Change the order by pressing and dragging up/down the waypoint or destination.
4. Press [Recalculate].
5. Select desired route conditions.

Shows the total distance, the estimated time consumption, the estimated time of arrival and
the road information as well as the detail current location to the set destination.
1. Press [Menu] > [Route] > [Route Info./Avoid] on the map screen.
Or press [Navigation Menu] > [Route] > [Route Info./Avoid] on the home screen.
2. Press the street to check the map information. And press the checkmark to select the
street(s) that you want to avoid.
3. Press [Reroute] > [Yes].

Shows the remaining distance, the estimated time consumption and the estimated time of
arrival to the set destination.

This is a telematics service based on our cutting-edge IT system that makes your driving
experience more convenient and fun and features safety, security, vehicle diagnostics, remote
control and even smartphone synchronization functions.
Enjoy a smarter driving experience with Genesis connected services.
whaT is Telema Tics?
The word “Telematics” stems from the combination of telecommunications and informatics. It
refers to an information system that provides a variety of driving information through the built-
in terminal by analyzing each symptom and driving state. This allows for a much safer and
more comfortable driving experience.
abouT Transmission and recepTion of radio w aVes
For radio wave transmission/reception status, refer to the status displayed on the Genesis
connected services screen.
It is recommended that you use the Genesis connected services system when the antenna
icon () shows four bars or more.
Connection to the Genesis connected services center or wireless data transmission may be
disrupted in the following places.
Places where Genesis connected services may be disrupted depending on the transmission/
reception status:
䠐Inside tunnels
䠐Mountainous areas or dense forest
䠐Roads close to cliff edges
䠐Densely built-up areas
䠐On highways or roads underneath higher interchange roads
䠐Inside buildings
