the factory fill brake fluid. The Vehicle Dynamic
Control (VDC) unit and other related parts were
specially designed for this brake fluid. NISSAN
cannot ensure proper operation of the vehicle if
other brake fluid is used.

way other than described, it may indicate aburned-out bulb and/or a system malfunction. It
is recommended you have the system checked
by a GT-R certified NISSAN dealer.

All-Wheel Drive (AWD) warn-
ing light
GUID-1B607105-7534-4297-BBBA-7F608F3BEDDCThewarning light comes on when the
ignition switch is pushed to ON. It turns off soon
after the engine is started.
If the AWD system malfunctions, the warning
light will either remain illuminated or blink. (

CAUTION

If the warning light comes on while
driving there may be a malfunction
in the AWD system. Reduce the
vehicle speed and have your vehicle
checked by a GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer as soon as possible.

Malfunction Indicator Light
(MIL)
GUID-7AE6836F-62DC-4F8F-81D2-F95B25AF5E24If the malfunction indicator light comes on
steady or blinks while the engine is running, it
may indicate a potential emission control or the
muffler with electronic control valve (if so
equipped) malfunction.
The malfunction indicator light may also come on
steady if the fuel-filler cap is loose or missing, or
if the vehicle runs out of fuel. Check to make
sure the fuel-filler cap is installed and closed
tightly, and that the vehicle has at least 3 US
gallons (12 liters) of fuel in the fuel tank.
After a few driving trips, the
light should
turn off if no other potential emission control
system malfunction exists.
If this indicator light remains on for 20 seconds
and then blinks for 10 seconds when the engine
is not running, it indicates that the vehicle is not
ready for an emission control system inspection/
maintenance test. (

Operation:

one of two ways: .
Malfunction indicator light on steady Ð An
emission control system malfunction has
been detected. Check the fuel-filler cap. If
the fuel-filler cap is loose or missing, tighten
or install the cap and continue to drive the
vehicle. The
light should turn off after a
few driving trips. If the
light does not
turn off after a few driving trips, it is
recommended you have the vehicle in-
spected by a GT-R certified NISSAN dealer.
You do not need to have your vehicle towed
to the dealer.
. Malfunction indicator light blinking Ð An
engine misfire has been detected which may
damage the emission control system.
To reduce or avoid emission control system
damage:
1) Do not drive at speeds above 45 MPH
(72 km/h) .
2) Avoid hard acceleration or deceleration.
3) Avoid steep uphill grades.
4) If possible, reduce the amount of cargo being hauled or towed.
The malfunction indicator light may stop
blinking and remain on.
It is recommended you have the vehicle
inspected by a GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer. You do not need to have your vehicle towed to the dealer.
NOTICE
Continued vehicle operation without
having the emission control system
checked and repaired as necessary
could lead to poor driveability, reduced
fuel economy, and possible damage to
the emission control system.
Turn signal/hazard indicator
lights

lever or hazard switch is turned on.
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
off indicator light

the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) off indicator
light illuminates and then turns off.
The light comes on when the VDC set up switch
is pushed to OFF for more than 1 second.

This indicates that the vehicle dynamic control
system and traction control system are not
operating. (

When cleaning the inner side of the rear
window, be careful not to scratch or
damage the rear window defroster.

on after the engine is started regardless of the
position of the headlight switch. The lights will
turn off when the engine is turned off.
The daytime running lights will also turn on when
the engine is started.
Turning the switch to the

instrument lights will come on and the daytime
running light will remain on.Turning the switch to the
