■When adjusting the seat position
●Take care when adjusting the seat position to ensure that other passengers are not injured by the moving seat.
●Do not put your hands under the seat or near the moving parts to avoid injury. Fingers or hands may become jammed in the seat mechanism.
●Make sure to leave enough space around the feet so they do not get stuck.
■Seat adjustment
To reduce the risk of sliding under the lap be lt during a collision, do not recline the seat more than necessary.
If the seat is too reclined, th e lap belt may slide past the hips and apply restraint forces directly to the abdomen, or your neck may contact the shoulder belt, increasing the riskof death or serious injury in the event of an accident.
Adjustments should not be made while driving as the seat may unexpectedly move and cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

■Jam protection function (power seat)
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
●Never use any part of your body to intent ionally activate the jam protection function.
●The jam protection function may not work if something gets caught just before the
rear seatback is fully folded forward. Be careful not to get fingers or anything else
caught.
●The jam protection function may not work depending on the shape of the object that
is caught. Be careful not to get fingers or anything else caught.
NOTICE
■Stowing the seat belts
The seat belt for the rear center seat, seat belt buckles and armrest must be stowed before you fold down the rear seatbacks. ( P. 576)

Each electronic key (including a card key) can be registered to recall your pre-
ferred driving position.
■Registering procedure
Record your driving position to button “1”, “2” or “3” before performing the
following:
Carry only the key you want to register, and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be recorded
properly.
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Recall the driving position that you want to record.
While pressing the recalled but-
ton, press and hold the door lock
switch (either lock or unlock) until
the buzzer sounds.
If the button could not be registered, the buzzer sounds continuously for approximately 3 seconds.
■Recall procedure
Carry the electronic key that has been registered to the driving position,
and then unlock and open the driver’s door using the smart entry & start
system or wireless remote control.
The driving position will move to the recorded position (not including the steering
wheel). However, the seat will move to a posi tion slightly behind the recorded posi- tion in order to make entering the vehicle easier. If the driving position is in a position that has already been recorded, the seat and
outside rear view mirrors will not move.
Turn the engine switch to ACCESSORY mode or IGNITION ON mode,
or fasten a seat belt.
The seat and steering wheel will move to the recorded position.

■Cancelation procedure
Carry only the key you want to cancel and then close the driver’s door.
If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving position cannot be canceled
properly.
Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
While pressing the “SET” button, press and hold the door lock switch
(either lock or unlock) until the buzzer sounds twice.
If it button could not be canceled, the buzzer sounds continuously for approxi-
mately 3 seconds.
■Recalling the driving position us ing the memory recall function
●Different driving positions can be registered for each electronic key. Therefore, the driving position that is recalled may be different depending on the key being carried.
●If a door other than the driver’s door is unlocked with the smart entry & start system, the
driving position cannot be reca lled. In this case, press the driving position button which has been set.

Some functions can be customized. ( P. 740)

Observe the following precautions while driving. Failing to do so may result in loss of control of the vehicle and cause an accident, result-

●Do not adjust the mirrors while driving.
●Do not drive with the mirrors folded.
●Both the driver and passenger side mirrors must be extended and properly adjusted before driving.
■When a mirror is moving
To avoid personal injury and mirror malfunction, be careful not to get your hand caught by the moving mirror.
■When the mirror defoggers are operating
Do not touch the rear view mirror surfaces, as they can become very hot and burn you.

■Opening and closing the windows
●The driver is responsible for all the power window operations, including the operation for the passengers. In order to prevent acci dental operation, especially by a child, do not let a child operate the power windows. It is possible for children and other passen-
gers to have body parts caught in the power window. Also, when riding with a child, it is recommended to use the window lock switch. ( P. 210)
●When using the wireless remote control or mechanical key and operating the power
windows, operate the power window after checking to make sure that there is no pos- sibility of any passenger having any of thei r body parts caught in the window. Also do not let a child operate power window by the wireless remote control or mechanical
key. It is possible for children and other passengers to get caught in the power win- dow.
●When exiting the vehicle, turn the engine switch off, carry the key and exit the vehicle
along with the child. There may be accidental operation, due to mischief, etc., that may possibly lead to an accident.
■Jam protection function

●The jam protection function may not work if something gets jammed just before the window is fully closed. Be careful not to ge t any part of your body jammed in the win-
dow.
■Catch protection function

in the window.
●Check to make sure that all passengers do not have any part of their body in a positionwhere it could be caught when a window is
being operated.

●The driver is responsible for moon ro of opening and closing operations. In order to prevent accidental operation, espe cially by a child, do not let a child oper-
ate the moon roof. It is possible for children and other passengers to have body parts caught in the moon roof.

●The jam protection function may not work if something gets caught just before the
moon roof is fully closed. Also, the jam protection function is not designed to operate while the switch is being pressed. Take care so that your fingers, etc. do not get caught.
●Check to make sure that all passengers donot have any part of their body in a positionwhere it could be caught when the moon roof
is being operated.
●When using the wireless remote control or mechanical key and operating the moon roof,
operate the moon roof after checking to make sure that there is no possibility of anypassenger having any of their body parts
caught in the moon roof. Also, do not let a child operate moon roof by the wirelessremote control or mechanical key. It is possi-
ble for children and other passengers to get caught in the moon roof.
●When exiting the vehicle, turn the engine
