If you wish, you can change one of settings provided by the system. The other functions will
still be controlled automatically.
Press one of the Soft/Auto/Fast buttons toreturn to fully automatic operation.

On entering the vehicle, if the interior temperature is much colder or warmer than the comfort value, there is no
need to change the value displayed in order to obtain the comfort required.The system corrects the differencein temperature automatically and as quickly as possible.

The air conditioning is designed to
operate e
ffectively in all seasons,
with the windows closed.
It allows you:


- in summer, to lower the tem
perature,

- in winter, above 3 °C, to improve demisting
performance.
Switchin
g on) Press the "A/C"button, the associated green indicator lamp comes on. The air conditioning does not operate when
the air flow control is set to off.
Switching off) Press the "A/C"button again, the
associated green indicator lamp goes off.
Switching off the air conditioning may result in
some discomfort
(humidity, misting).

For maximum cooling or heating of thepassenger compar tment, it is possibleto exceed the minimum value 14 or themaximum value 28. )

Switching on
With Stop & Star t, when demisting has been switched on, the Diesel enginedoes not stop.


Switching off

The demist /defrost switches off automatically toprevent an excessive consumption of current.
)It is possible to stop the demist/defrost
operation before it is switched off automaticallyby pressing the button again. The indicator
lamp associated with the button goes off.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and provides optimum distribution towards the
windscreen and side windows.
Adjust the temperature control to quickly
demist/defrost the windows.
To switch it off, press the "visibility" button again, the warning lamp in the button goes off and the system rever ts to the previous settings.
)Select this programme to demist or defrost the windscreen andside windows as quickly as possible.
The system automatically manages the air conditioning, air flow and air intake, and

With the quad-zone digital air conditioning,
pressing this button deactivates and locks the
rear air conditioning. ) To stop the programme, press either the "visibility"button again or "AU TO "

Programmable heating mode
This is an additional and separate system
which heats the engine hot water circuit
to improve defrosting and to preheat thepassenger compartment.

Select "Activation" and if necessary for programming, "Parameters",

Select "Heating" to preheat the engine or passenger compar tment or "Ventilation" to
ventilate the passenger compartment,

- the first clock to programme/store astar ting time,
- the second clock to programme/storeanother starting time.

Programmable Ventilation
mode

This mode allows ventilation of the passenger compartment to improve the temperatureexperienced on entering the vehicle in summer.

Using these two clocks and according to season you can, for example, selectone or the other star ting time. A message in the instrument panel
screen confirms your choice.

Driving
It is recommended that you do not apply the parking brake in very cold conditions (ice) and during towing
(recovery, ...). Deactivate the automatic functions and release the parking brakemanually.



Before leaving the vehicle, check that parking brake warning lamps in the instrument panel and the control lever Aare on, not flashing.

The electric parking brake combines
2 operating modes:- Automatic Application/ReleaseApplication is automatic when the engine
stops, release is automatic on use of the
accelerator (this mode is activated by
default), -Manual Application/ReleaseManual application of the parking brake is done by pulling control lever A.Manual release is done by pushing andreleasing the control lever, while pressing
the brake pedal.
When the driver's door is opened, there is an
audible signal and a message is displayed if the
brake is not applied.



Programming the mode

Depending on the country of sale of the vehicle,
the automatic application when the engine isswitched off and the automatic release whenyou press the accelerator can be deactivated. With the vehicle stationary, to apply the parking
brake whether the h
ybrid system is active or off,

until you see a message and an audible signal is heard. Maximum application is essential:- in the case of a vehicle towing a trailer,
if the automatic functions are activatedbut you are applying the parking brake
manually,
- when the slope you are parked on may
vary (e.g. on a ferry, on a lorry, during
towing).

Before leaving the vehicle, check that parking brake warning lamps in the instrument panel and in the controllever A
are on fixed (not flashing).

Never leave a child alone inside thevehicle with the ignition on, as they could release the parking brake.

In the case of towing, a loaded vehicleor parking on a gradient, make a maximum application of the parkingbrake then turn the front wheels towards the pavement and engage a gear whenyou park.

Automatic release
The electric parking brake releasesautomatically and progressively with the
movement of the vehicle,select position A, Mor Rthen press the accelerator.
Full release of the parking brake is confirmed by:

When stationary, with the hybrid systemactive, do not press the accelerator pedal unnecessarily, as you mayrelease the parking brake.

Immobilising the vehicle,
hybrid system active
With the hybrid system active and the vehicle
stationary, in order to immobilise the vehicle
it is essential to manually
apply the parkingbrake by pullingcontrol lever A.
The application of the parking brake isconfirmed by:
- illumination o
f the braking warning
lamp and of the Pwarning lamp in
the control lever A ,
- display of a message.
When the driver’s door is opened, a loud beep
is heard and a messa
ge is displayed if the
parking brake has not been applied.

Particular situations

In cer tain situations (e.g. star ting the engine),
the parking brake can automatically alter itsforce. This is normal operation.
To advance your vehicle a few centimetres
without star ting the engine, but with the ignition
on, press on the brake pedal and release the
parking brake by pushing then releasingcontrol lever A
. The full release of the parkingbrake is confirmed by the warning lamps in
the control lever Aand in the instrument panel going off and display of a message.
If a parking brake fault occurs while applied
or
if the battery runs flat, an emergency release is
always possible.
In order to ensure correct operation and
so your safety, the number of successive
application/release operations of the parkin
g
brake is limited to eight.
In the event of abuse, you are aler ted by a message and a warning lamp which flashes.

Engagement of reverse gear is accompanied by an audible signal.
If you leave the vehicle, place the gear
lever in position Nand then you muststop the hybrid system by switching off the ignition (Ready
lamp off).
If the gear lever is not in position Nonstarting, N
