CHANGING A BULB

Front lamps


Model with Xenon headlamps
(D1S)

For the maintenance of the front
lamps and changing HP19 and
D1S bulbs and LED lamps, contact
a CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop.
Risk of electrocution

Xenon bulbs must be replaced by
a CITROËN dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop.
You are advised to change both
D1S bulbs at the same time, if one
of them has failed. The headlamps are fi tted with
polycarbonate glass with a
protective coating:


)
do not clean them using a
dry or abrasive cloth, nor
with a detergent or solvent
product,


)
use a sponge and soapy water,

)
when using a high pressure
washer on persistent marks, do
not keep the lance directed to-
wards the lamps or their edges
for too long, so as not to dam-
age their protective coating and
seals.



)
Do not touch the bulb directly
with your fi ngers, use lint-free
cloths.
Changing a bulb should only be
done after the headlamp has been
switched off for a few minutes (risk
of serious burns).
It is imperative to use only anti-
ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs in order
not to damage the headlamp.
Always replace a failed bulb with a
new bulb with the same type and
specifi cation.

Dipped beam headlamps

Remove the protective cap B
.

)
Disconnect the connector by
pressing it between the thumb
and index fi nger.

)
Free the bulb from its two metal
clamps.

)
Take out the bulb.

)
Replace the bulb, exerting a
slight axial force.

)
Refi t the connector, until it is all
the way in.

)
Refi t the protective cap B
.

Directional lamp


)
Remove the protective cap C
.

)
Disconnect the connector by
pressing it between the thumb
and index fi nger.

)
Free the bulb from its two metal

Take out the bulb.

)
Replace the bulb, exerting a

Front foglamps

Remove the fi xing screw of cover A

using a torx tool, tip the cover over
and remove.

)
Remove the fi xing screw of lamp B

using a torx tool and pull the head-
lamp unit to remove it from the
bumper.
)
Disconnect the connector D
.

)
Remove the bulb by performing
a quarter of a turn.

)
Replace the bulb.

)
Refi t the connector D
.

)
Refi t the headlamp unit in the
bumper.

)
Refi t the lamp screws.

)
Position the cover using its guides
and refi t the screws.

Bulbs:
H8
Direction indicators


)

Remove the fi xing screw of cover A

using a torx tool, tip the cover over
and remove.

)
Remove the fi xing screw of lamp B

using a torx tool and pull the head-
lamp unit to remove it from the
bumper.

)
Detach the bulb C
by pressing
on bars 1
and 2
.

)
Disconnect the connector (pull
whilst pressing on the grey
tongue using a fl at screwdriver).

)
Replace the bulb.

)
Refi t the connector (push the
grey tongue in well).

)
Refi t the headlamp unit in the
bumper.

)
Refi t the lamp screws.

)
Position the cover using its
guides and refi t the screws.

Bulbs:
HP24W

The side repeater is sealed.
If the bulb is faulty, replace the side
repeater.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualifi ed workshop.

Side repeaters

























Rear lamps (Saloon)

Identify the failed bulb.

Brake lamps and sidelamps:

P 21 W/5 W

Sidelamps:
R 5 W

3.
Reversing lamp:
H 21 W

Foglamps:
H 21 W

Direction indicators:
PY 21 W

Open the boot.

)
Using a fl at screwdriver, remove
the 3 clips which fi x the trim in
the lamp area.

)
Partially remove the trim F
.

)
Disconnect the connector G
.
Boot-mounted lamps

)
Unclip the bulb holder H
.

)
Replace the bulb.

)
Refi t the bulb holder H
.

)
Check that the bulb holder H
is se-
cured correctly by the two clips 6
.

)
Refi t the connector G
.

)
Replace and fi x the trim F
with its
clips.




When refi tting, take care not to
trap the electrical cables.

Wing-mounted lamps

Remove the lateral boot trim
fl ap A
. To do so, pull it towards
the inside of the boot, then pull it
upwards.

Disconnect connector B
.

)
Unscrew the 2 fi xings C
.

)

Remove the lamp from its housing.


)
Detach the bulb holder D
.

)
Replace the bulb.

)
Refi t the bulb holder D
.

)
Place the lamp in its housing.

)
Screw in the 2 fi xings C
.

)
Refi t connector B
.

)
Refi t the trim A
.
You can use the wheelbrace to screw
or unscrew the fi xings C
.

Boot-mounted lamps

Open the boot.

Using a fl at screwdriver, remove
the plastic cover F
.

Disconnect the connector G
.

)
Unscrew the fi xing nut H
.

)
Disengage the lamp from its
housing.

Unclip the bulb holder J

Replace the bulb.

Refi t the bulb holder J
ensur-
ing that it is correctly clipped in
place.

Position the lamp in its housing.

Tighten the fi xing nut H

Refi t the connector G
.

Position and clip in place the
plastic cover F
.

You can use the wheelbrace to screw or unscrew the fi xing nut H
.

Remove the lateral boot trim A

To do so:

Pull it towards towards the inside
of the boot.

Pull it upwards.

Disconnect the connector B
.

Unscrew the fi xing nut C
.

Remove the lamp from its housing.

Detach the bulb holder D
.

)
Replace the faulty bulb.

)
Refi t the bulb holder D
.

)
Place the lamp in its housing.

)
Screw in the fi xing nut C
.

)
Refi t the connector B
.

)
Refi t the trim A
.

You can use the wheelbrace to screw or unscrew the fi xing nut C
