to unlock the driver’s door. Push it
twice to unlock the remaining doors
and the tailgate. Some exterior lights
will f lash twice each time you press
the button.
Press this button once to
lock all doors and the tailgate. Some
exterior lights will f lash once. When
you push LOCK twice within 5
seconds, you will hear a beep to
verify that the doors and the tailgate
arelockedandthesecuritysystem
(if equipped) has set. You cannot
lockthedoorsandthetailgateif any
door or the tailgate is not f ully closed
or the key is in the ignition switch. The ceiling light and the spot light (if
equipped) comes on when you press
the UNLOCK button if the lights are
in the door activated position. If you
do not open any door or the tailgate
within 30 seconds, the light f ades out.
If you relock the doors and the
tailgate with the remote transmitter
bef ore 30 seconds have elapsed, the
light(s) will go of f immediately.
If you do not open any door or the
tailgate within 30 seconds, they will
automatically relock, and the
security system (if equipped) will
reset. Pressthisbuttonfor
about 2 seconds to attract attention:
the horn will sound, and the exterior
lights will f lash f or about 30 seconds.
To cancel panic mode, press any
other button on the remote
transmitter, or turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position.

To open the tailgate, push the
release, and lift up. To close the
tailgate, use the tailgate handle to
lower it, then press down on the
back edge.Keep the tailgate closed at all times
while driving to avoid damaging the
tailgate and to prevent exhaust gas

The tailgate will lock when you lock
the driver’s door with the key, the
remote transmitter, the master door
lock switch, or the lock tab on the
driver’s door.
To unlock the tailgate, turn the key
clockwise twice, push the rear of the
master door lock switch, or push the
UNLOCK button twice on the
remote transmitter.

If the power door lock system cannot
unlock the tailgate, unlock it
manually.Push the release lever to the lower
right as shown.
If you need to unlock the tailgate
manually, it means there is a
problem with the tailgate. Have the
vehicle checked by your dealer.

The controls f or the power
adjustable driver’s seat are on the
outside edge of the seat bottom. You
can adjust the seat with the ignition
switch in any position. Make all seat
adjustments bef ore you start driving.
The f ront passenger’s seat can be
adjusted manually (see the next
page). Moves the seat forward
and backward.
Moves the f ront of the
seat up or down.

The height of your driver’s seat is
adjustable. To raise the seat,
repeatedly pull up the lever on the
outside of the seat cushion. To lower
the seat, push the lever down
repeatedly.
Make all seat adjustments bef ore
you start driving.
To adjust the seat f orward or
backward, pull up on the bar under
the seat cushion’s f ront edge. Move
the seat to the desired position, and
releasethebar.Trytomovetheseat to make sure it is locked in position.
Once a seat is adjusted correctly,
rock it back and f orth to make sure it
is locked in position.
To change the seat-back angle, pull
up on the lever on the outside of the
seat bottom.

Each front seat has an armrest on
thesideof theseat-back.Touseit,
pivotitdown.
To adjust the seats forward and
backward, pull up on the lever under
the seat cushion. Af ter moving the
seat, make sure it is locked into
position.
The angle of each rear seat-back can
be adjusted separately. To change
the seat-back angle of the rear seat-
back, pull up on the release lever on
the top of the seat-back. Move the
seat-back to the desired position, then release the lever. Make sure
the seat-back latches in the new
position.
Make sure all rear shoulder belts are
positioned in f ront of the rear seat-
backs af ter you adjust the rear seats.
When using the center seating
position, adjust the lef t and right side
of the rear seats to the same position.
