This message displays and a chime sounds if theengine cooling system reaches unsafe temperatures foroperation. Stop and turn off the vehicle as soon as it issafe to do so to avoid severe damage. This messageclears when the engine has cooled to a safe operatingtemperature.
ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED
This message displays and a chime sounds when thecooling system temperature gets too hot and the enginefurther enters the engine coolant protection mode.SeeEngine Overheatingon page 7!34for furtherinformation.
This message also displays when the vehicle's enginepower is reduced. Reduced engine power can affect thevehicle's ability to accelerate. If this message is on, butthere is no reduction in performance, proceed to yourdestination. The performance may be reduced the nexttime the vehicle is driven. The vehicle may be driven ata reduced speed while this message is on, butacceleration and speed may be reduced. Anytime thismessage stays on, the vehicle should be taken to yourdealer/retailer for service as soon as possible.
FUEL LEVEL LOW
This message displays and a chime sounds if the fuellevel is low. Refuel as soon as possible. SeeFuel Gageon page 4!40andFuelo n p a g e 7!7for moreinformation.
HOOD OPEN
This message displays and a chime sounds if the hoodis not fully closed. Stop and turn off the vehicle, checkthe hood for obstructions, and close the hood again.Check to see if the message still appears on the DIC.

Battery Replacement
To change the remote control batteries:
1. Slide the rear cover back on the remote control.
2. Replace the two batteries in the compartment.Make sure that they are installed correctly, usingthe diagram on the inside of the batterycompartment.
3. Replace the battery cover.
If the remote control is to be stored for a long period oftime, remove the batteries and keep them in a cool, dryplace.

Each time this button ispressed, the picture adjustment OSD, cycles throughbars for BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, COLOR, andTINT. Use the right/left navigation arrows to adjust thesetting. This feature automatically shuts off id anotherbutton is pressed or adjustments are not made withinsix seconds.
SOUND AROUND SELECT :Press to select an FMtransmitter channel. The SOUND AROUND SELECTlets the DVD audio play over the vehicle’s soundsystem by tuning the radio to one of the six FMfrequencies listed below.

0!9 (Numbers) :The numbers located on the lower leftside of the remote control can be used to enternumbered menu options, channels, or track numbers.
GOTO :Press to enter the GOTO menu to choose adesired title, chapter, track, or song inside the disc.
DISPLAY :Press to scroll through display informationon the upper left corner of the screen, such as title,chapter/track, time elapsed, and time remaining, or toturn off the display
PROGRAM :Press to edit a playback programcontaining desired titles in the DVD or tracks inthe CD-DA.
3D :Press to change between different 3D audiomodes for DVD or CD.

Selecting Folders and Songs
When an MP3 disc is inserted in the player, thenavigation screen appears. The folders and songs canbe changed by navigating through the file system. TheDVD player plays the songs in the order they wereburned to the disc.
1. Press STOP if a disc is playing. Press the up ordown navigation arrows on the remote control togo through the folder list on the left side of thescreen.
2. Press ENTER when the desired folder ishighlighted.
3. Press the up or down navigation arrows to gothrough the song list and highlight the desiredsong. Press ENTER to begin the playback of theselected song.
Skipping a Song
NEXT :Press to go to the next song.
PREV (Previous) :Press to return to the beginning ofthe song that is currently playing. Press PREV twice togo to the previous song.
Selecting a Play Mode
The order the songs are played can be temporarilychosen on a disc. The FOLDER play mode is thedefault. Press the REPEAT button to access the playmode options.
The play mode options are:
.Single—Play a selected song.
.Folder—Play the folder in the order the songswere recorded.
.Shuffle—Play the songs in random order, fromwithin the selected folder.

Cleaning the Video Screens
The video display screens are made of a speciallycoated glass and can be scratched or damaged byabrasive products, solvents, or ammonia-based windowcleaners. Clean with a soft, lint-free, cotton cloth thathas been slightly dampened with warm water. Dry thescreens by wiping with a clean dry cotton cloth.
