Front parking sensors
In addition to the rear parking sen-
sors, the front parking sensors are
triggered when an obstacle is de-
tected in front and the speed of the
v e h i c l e i s s t i l l b e l o w 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) .
The sound emitted by the speaker
( f r o n t o r r e a r ) i n d i c a t e s w h e t h e r t h e
obstacle is in front or behind.
The front parking sensors are inter-
rupted if the vehicle stops for more
than three seconds in forward gear,
if no further obstacles are detected
or when the speed of the vehicle ex-
c e e d s 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) . Deactivation/Activation of the
front and rear parking sensors
The function is deactivated by press-
ing this button. The indicator lamp
on the button comes on.
Pressing this button again reacti-
vates the function. The indicator
lamp on the button switches off.
The function will be deactivated au-
tomatically if a trailer is being towed
o r a b i c y c l e c a r r i e r i s fi t t e d ( v e h i c l e
fi t t e d w i t h a t o w b a r o r b i c y c l e c a r -
r i e r r e c o m m e n d e d b y C I T R O Ë N ) . Operating fault
If an operating fault occurs,
when reverse gear is en-
gaged this warning lamp is
displayed on the instrument
panel and/or a message appears on
the screen, accompanied by an au-
d i b l e s i g n a l ( s h o r t b l e e p ) .
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
In bad weather or in winter, ensure
that the sensors are not covered
with mud, ice or snow. When re-
verse gear is engaged, an audible
s i g n a l ( l o n g b l e e p ) i n d i c a t e s t h a t
the sensors may be dirty.
When the vehicle is moving at a
s p e e d b e l o w 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) , c e r -
tain sound sources (motorcycle, lor-
r y , p n e u m a t i c d r i l l , e t c . ) m a y t r i g g e r
the audible signals of the parking
sensor system.

The rear pneumatic suspension en-
hances driving comfort by maintain-
ing a constant body height whatever
the vehicle load. Operation
- If there is an increase in vehicle
load, a sinking of the rear of
the vehicle is detected and the
p n e u m a t i c s p r i n g s i n fl a t e i n o r -
der to compensate for the extra
weight.
- If there is a decrease in load, a rising of the rear of the vehicle is
detected and so the pneumatic
s p r i n g s d e fl a t e t o r e t u r n t h e v e -
hicle to its nominal height.
- If the vehicle has been unused for a long period, the pneumatic
s p r i n g s m a y i n fl a t e i f n e c e s s a r y
when you unlock or open a door,
so as to return the vehicle to its
nominal height.
If you do not reactivate the system
manually, automatic height correc-
tion will be activated as soon as the
vehicle starts to move. During height
correction, the service warning lamp
comes on and a message on the
screen reminds you not to exceed
1 0 k m / h ( 6 m p h ) .
The automatic correction does not
function if the doors or the boot are
open.
The automatic correction operates
even if your vehicle is in power
economy mode. Activation/Deactivation
The automatic height correction can
be deactivated:
press button B located on the
left hand boot interior trim for ap-
proximately two seconds,
release the button when you
hear a beep. Deactivation is con-
fi r m e d b y t h e l i g h t i n g o f t h e i n d i -
cator lamp in the button B .
In the event of a system fault,
alert messages, always in asso-
ciation with the service warning
lamp, will appear in the instru-
ment panel . Consult a CITROËN
dealer.
You must deactivate the system in
the following circumstances:
- when working under the vehicle,
- when changing a wheel,
- when transporting the vehicle on
a lorry or ferry
To reactivate automatic height cor-
rection:
press again on the button B for
approximately two seconds,
release the button when you hear
a b e e p . A c t i v a t i o n i s c o n fi r m e d
by the extinction of the indicator
lamp in the button B .

The pneumatic suspension has an
additional function: the possibility to
raise or lower the height of the rear
of the vehicle when stationary, in or-
der to facilitate loading/unloading of
the boot. Increasing the height of the boot

Press continuously the top con-
trol A , which is located in the
boot, on the left-hand side.
This action will be accompanied by
an audible signal. You can stop the
movement at any time by releasing
the control.

Returning to the normal height

Driving with the boot in a
low position may damage
underbody components.
Particular points
- If you start the vehicle without having returned it to the normal
height, automatic correction will
activate as soon as the vehicle
starts to move. During the cor-
rection, the service warning
lamp comes on and a message
on the screen reminds you not to
e x c e e d 6 m p h ( 1 0 k m / h ) .
- Loading assistance does not function in the following circum-
stances:
- If button B is illuminated,
- in power economy mode,
- w h e n y o u fi r s t u s e t h e f u n c t i o n , press control A for two seconds
to initialise the system. The sys-
tem will respond normally to sub-
sequent operation of the control.
