After a lengthy disconnection of the battery, it may be necessa
ry to reinitialise the following functions:
- the electric windows anti-pinch and sequential systems,
- the sun roof anti-pinch system,
- the multifunction display parameters (date, time, language, units of distance and temperature),
- the radio stations,
- the navigation reception (see NaviDrive instructions).
WARNING: if disconnecting the battery, check that the naviga tion reader has inished recording information
after switching off the ignition : the warning lamp should h ave gone out.
Starting the engine for the irst time after disconnecting and
connecting the battery
- Turn the ignition key.
- Wait about a minute before operating the starter to allo
w the electronic
systems to be reinitialised. B A T T E R Y

Battery compartment fuses
Fuse box
Pull back the loor mat (see
“Comfort - Floor mat”).
Unclip the cover, located under
the loor beneath the front right
hand seat, to gain access.

Replacing a fuse
Before replacing a fuse, it is
essential to ind the cause of the
incident and to rectify it.
The fuse identiication numbers
are indicated inside the fuse box.
Replace a blown fuse with one
of the same rating (the same
colour).
Use the special tool A that is
provided in the fuse housing lap,
which also contains spare fuses.

Unscrew the bolt a quater of a turn
with a coin, then, pull the handle
to open the cover and access the
fuses.

Fuse box
To open the engine compartment
fusebox, unclip the screen wash
luid reservoir then detach the
cover.
Close the lid of the fuse box
carefully. Only authorised personnel
from the CITROËN network are allowed to carry out
any work on the additional protection MAXI fuses
located in the fuse boxes.

To open the fuel lap, pull at its
notched edge. A label showing the
correct fuel quality will be found
on the inside of the lap (See “Fuel
quality”).
Locking iller cap
Turn the key a quarter turn to lock
and unlock the iller cap.
When refuelling, place the cap in
the support provided on the inside
of the iller lap.
If the iller lap is open, a locking
device prevents the left hand rear
door from opening fully. If the vehicle is illed with the wrong type of fuel,
it is essential that the tank is drained before running
the engine.
For petrol engines with catalytic converter, use of unlea
ded fuel is
obligatory.
The iller neck has a narrower aperture to permit unleaded petrol only.
If you are illing up with fuel, do not persist in topping up after the
third cut-off; this could cause your vehicle to malfunction.
UNLEADED PETROL DIESEL FUEL
Petrol engines are designed to run on RON 95 fuel; however , for better
vehicle performance (petrol engines), we recommend RON 98.
FUEL QUALITY
A label on the inside of the fuel iller lap indicates the approved fuel quality
type.

Note: A light mist of conden-
sation may appear on the surface
of the headlamp glass under
certain conditions of use.
The halogen bulbs should not be changed until they have
been off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns). Do not touch
the new bulb directly with your ingers; use a lint-free cloth.
It is essential that only anti-U.V. type bulbs
are used in order not to damage the headlamp.

Headlamp dipped beam
Turn the plastic protector a quar-
ter turn and pull out.
Disconnect the connector.
Press the lugs to disengage.
Pull out the bulb.
Bulb: H7 For vehicles not equip-
ped with Xenon headlamp bulbs.
Xenon D2R For vehicles equipped
with Xenon headlamp bulbs. Main beam
Turn the plastic protector a quar-
ter turn and pull out.
Disconnect the connector.
Press the lugs to disengage.
Pull out the bulb.

If the headlamp has this
symbol, all operations
relating to changing of
bulbs for XenonD2R dip-
ped beam must be carried out
by a CITROËN Dealer : risk of
electrocution.
