1. CHECK CHIME OPERATION
Select “BUZZER” on CONSULT-ll, and perform “LIGHT WARN
ALM”, “IGN KEY WARN ALM” or “SEAT BELT WARN TEST” of
“ACTIVE TEST”.
Does chime sound?
YES >> Replace BCM. Refer to BCS-16, "Removal and Installa-
tion of BCM" .
NO >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK UNIFIED METER AND A/C AMP. INPUT SIGNAL
Select “METER A/C AMP” on CONSULT-II. Operate switches meet
the requirements to sounds warning chime with “BUZZER” of “DATA
MONITOR” and check operation status.
OK or NG
OK >> Replace combination meter.
NG >> Replace BCM. Refer to BCS-16, "
Removal and Installa-
tion of BCM" .
Test item Malfunction is detected when···
LIGHT WARN ALM This test is able to check light warning chime operation. Light warning chime sounds for 2 seconds
after touching “ON” on CONSULT-ll screen.
IGN KEY WARN ALM This test is able to check key warning chime operation. Key warning chime sounds for 2 seconds
after touching “ON” on CONSULT-ll screen.
SEAT BELT WARN TEST This test is able to check seat belt warning chime operation. Seat belt warning chime sounds for 2
seconds after touching “ON” on CONSULT-ll screen.

5. Touch “WORK SUPPORT”.
6. Touch “AUTO AIM”.
7. The target should be accurately placed. The vehicle should be stopped.
After confirming the above, touch “START” to perform aiming.
CAUTION:
Never touch “START” when the target is not placed.

a. “NORMALLY COMPLETED” is displayed, then touching “COM- PLETION”.
b. Perform the following services when displayed “SUSPENSION” or “ABNORMALLY COMPLETED”.
NOTE:
Replace camera unit if “suspension” is repeatedly indicated though the above two service is performed.
14. Check if “NORMALLY COMPLETED” is displayed and close the aiming adjustment procedure by touching “END”.

DESCRIPTION
CONSULT-II performs the following functions communicating with the LDW camera unit.
CONSULT-II BASIC OPERATION
CAUTION:
If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be
detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Connect CONSULT-ll and CONSULT-ll CONVERTER on the data link connector.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
