9Den Dichtring mit der Herstellermar-
kierung oder Nummer gegen die
Achshalterseite gerichtet einbauen.

9Installer le guide de ressort avec l’en-
coche aorientée vers le haut
9Le filetage bétant orienté vers le
haut, serrer le contre-écrou à fond à la
main sur la tige d’amortisseur.

N.B.:
9Appliquer de l’huile de fourche sur le
tube interne.
9Lors de l’installation de la bague
d’étanchéité, utiliser une feuille en vi-
nyle aavec de l’huile de fourche ap-
pliquée pour protéger la lèvre de la
bague d’étanchéité.
9Installer le joint à huile dont les
marques d’usine ou les numéros font
face au côté du support d’axe.
7. Monter:
9Métal de piston 1
N.B.:
Installer le métal de piston sur la fente
interne du tuyau.
8. Monter:
9Tube externe 1
Au tube interne 2.
5. Installare:
9Guida della molla 1
9Controdado 2
Sulla barra dello smorzatore 3.
NOTA:
9Installare la guida della molla con il
taglio arivolto verso l’alto.
9Con la filettatura brivolta verso
l’alto, serrare completamente a mano
il controdado sulla barra dello smor-
zatore.
6. Installare:
9Parapolvere 1
9Anello di fermo 2
9Paraolio 3
9Rosetta 4
9Metallo di scorrimento 5
Sul tubo interno 6.
NOTA:
9Applicare l’olio per forcelle sul tubo
interno.
9Quando si installa il paraolio, usare
una sede in vinile acon applicato
olio per forcelle per proteggere il lab-
bro del paraolio.
9Installare il paraolio con le marcature
o il numero di fabbricazione rivolti
verso il lato del supporto dell’asse.
7. Installare:
9Metallo del pistone 1
NOTA:
Installare il metallo del pistone sulla
fessura sul tubo interno.
8. Installare:
9Tubo esterno 1
Sul tubo interno 2.

Press the slide metal into the outer tube with
fork seal driver 3.

NOTE:
Press the oil seal into the outer tube with fork
seal driver 2.
11. Install:
9Stopper ring 1
NOTE:
Fit the stopper ring correctly in the groove in the
outer tube.
12. Install:
9Dust seal 1
NOTE:
Apply the lithium soap base grease on the inner
tube.

Premere il metallo di scorrimento nel
tubo interno con l’elemento conduttore
della guarnizione di tenuta della forcel-
la 3.
10. Installare:
9Paraolio 1
NOTA:
Premere il paraolio nel tubo esterno con
l’elemento conduttore della guarnizione
di tenuta della forcella 2.
11. Installare
9Anello di fermo 1
NOTA:
Inserire l’anello di fermo correttamente
nella scanalatura nel tubo esterno.
12. Installare:
9Parapolvere 1
NOTA:
Applicare sul tubo interno il grasso a
base di sapone di litio.

10. Einbauen:
9Öldichtung 1
HINWEIS:
Den Gebelbein-Dichtring mit Hife des
Vorderradgabel-Dichtungstreibdorns
2in das äußere Gabelbeinrohr ein-
pressen.
11. Ausbauen:
9Anschlagring 1
HINWEIS:
Den Anschlagring richtig in die Nut
des äußeren Rohres einsetzen.
12. Einbauen:
9Staubdichtung 1
HINWEIS:
Lithium-Fett auf dem innere Rohr auf-
tragen.
9. Monter:
9Bague antifriction 1
9Rondelle ordinaire 2
Vers la fente de tube externe.
N.B.:
Enfoncer la bague antifriction dans le
tube externe à l’aide de l’outil d’inser-
tion de joint de fourche 3.
10. Monter:
9Bague d’étanchéité 1
N.B.:
Enfoncer la bague d’étanchéité dans le
tube externe à l’aide de l’outil d’inser-
tion de joint de fourche 2.
11. Monter:
9Bague d’arrer 1
N.B.:
Fixer correctement le joint de butée
dans la gorge du tube externe.
12. Monter:
9Joint antipoussière 1
N.B.:
Appliquer la graisse à base de savon au
lithium sur le tube interne.

13. Check:
9Inner tube smooth movement
Tightness/Binding/Rough spots Repeat the
steps 2 to 12.
14. Compress the front fork fully.
15. Fill:
9Front fork oil
Until outer tube top surface with recom-
mended fork oil 1.

9Be sure to use recommended fork oil. If
other oils are used, they may have an ex-
cessively adverse effect on the front fork
performance.
9Never allow foreign materials to enter the
front fork.
16. After filling, pump the damper rod 1slowly
up and down more than 10 times to distrib-
ute the fork oil.
17. Fill:
9Front fork oil
Until outer tube top surface with recom-
mended fork oil once more.
18. After filling, pump the outer tube 1slowly
up and down (about 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke)
to distribute the fork oil once more.
NOTE:
Be careful not to excessive full stroke. A stroke
of 200 mm (7.9 in) or more will cause air to en-
ter. In this case, repeat the steps 15 to 18.
Recommended oil:
Suspension oil “01”

13. Controllare:

9Assicurarsi di usare olio per forcelle
raccomandato. Se si usano altri oli,
questi possono avere un effetto ec-
cessivamente negativo sul rendi-
mento della forcella anteriore.
9Non permettere mai la penetrazione
di materiali estranei nella forcella
anteriore.
16. Dopo il riempimento, pompare
lentamente la barra dello smorza-
tore 1su e giù per più di 10 volte
per distribuire l’olio della forcella.
17. Riempire:
9Olio per la forcella anteriore
Ancora una volta fino alla su-
perficie superiore del tubo ester-
no con olio per forcelle racco-
mandato.
18. Dopo il riempimento, pompare
lentamente il tubo esterno 1su e
giù (corsa circa 200 mm (7,9 in))
per distribuire ancora una volta
l’olio della forcella.
NOTA:
Fare attenzione a non effettuare una
corsa completa eccessiva. Una corsa di
200 mm (7,9 in) o più farà entrare aria.
In questo caso, ripetere le operazioni da
15 a 18.
13. Kontrollieren:
9Glatte Bewegung des inneres
Rohres Festsitz/Klemmung
/Unregel-mäßige Bewegung
Die Schritte 2 bis 12 wieder-
holen.
14. Die Vorderradgabel vollständig
zusammendrücken.
15. Füllen:
9Vorderradgabelöl
Bis die Oberfläche des
äußeres Rohres mit empfohle-
nes Gabelöl 1.

9Ausschließlich empfohlenes
Gabelöl verwenden. Falls andere
Öle verwendet werden, kann dies
schädliche Einflüsse auf die
Leistung der Teleskopgabel mit
sich bringen.
9Darauf achten, daß keine Fremd-
körper in die Vorderradgabel ein-
dringen.
16. Nach dem Einfülen, die
Kolbenstange 1mehr als 10 mal
langsam auf und ab pumpen, um
das Gabelöl zu verteilen.
17. Füllen:
9Vorderradgabelöl
Bis die Oberfläche des
äußeres Rohres mit empfohle-
nes Gabelöl noch einmal.
18.
Nachdem die Äußere Rohr 1mit
Öl gefüllt wurden, die Vorderrad-
gabel langsam zusammendrücken
und wieder freigeben (Hubvon ca.
200 mm (7,9 in)), um das Gabelöl
noch einmal zu verteilen.
HINWEIS:
Darauf achten, daß nicht der volle
Hub verwendet wird.
Ein Hub von 200 mm (7,9 in) oder
mehr führt dazu, daß Luft eindringt. In
diesem Fall, die Schritte 15 bis 18
wiederholen.
13. Contrôler:
9Mouvement régulier du tube in-
terne
Raideur/coincement/point dure
Répéter les étapes du 2 au 12.
14. Comprimer la fourche avant com-
plètement.
15. Remplir:
9Huile de fourche avant
Jusqu’á la surface de l’haut de
tube externe avec d’huile de la
fourche recommandé 1.

9Toujours utiliser l’huile de fourche
recommandé. Si d’autres huiles
sont utilisées, elles peuvent avoir un
effet nuisible sur le rendement de la
fourche avant.
9Ne jamais laisser de substance
étrangère pénétrer dans la fourche
avant.
16. Après le remplissage, pomper len-
tement plus de 10 fois vers le haut
et le bas la tige d’amortissuer 1
pour distribuer l’huile du fourche.
17. Remplir:
9Huile de fourche avant
Jusqu’à la surface de l’haut de
tube externe avec d’huile de la
fourche recommandé encore
une fois.
18. Une fois le remplissage de l’huile
de fourche terminé, pomper le tube
externe 1de haut en bas (course
de environ 200 mm (7,9 in)) pour
assurer une bonne réparation de
l’huile de fourche encore une fois.
N.B.:
Faire attention à ne pas dépasser la plei-
ne course. Une course de 200 mm (7,9
in) ou plus fera entrer de l’air. Dans ce
cas, répéter les étapes 15 à 18.

Teleskopgabelöl „01“Huile recommandé:Huile de suspension “01”

19. Wait ten minutes until the air bubbles have
been removed from the front fork, and the
oil has dispense evenly in system before
setting recommended oil level.
NOTE:
Fill with the fork oil up to the top end of the outer
tube, or the fork oil will not spread over to every
part of the front forks, thus making it impossible
to obtain the correct level.
Be sure to fill with the fork oil up to the top of the
outer tube and bleed the front forks.
20. Measure:

NOTE:
Be sure to install the spring guide 2when
checking the oil level.

Never fail to make the oil level adjustment
between the maximum and minimum level
and always adjust each front fork to the
same setting. Uneven adjustment can
cause poor handling and loss of stability.

19. Vor dem Einstellen des empfoh-
lenen Ölpegels, etwa zehn
Minuten warten, bis die
Luftblasen aus der Gabel entwi-
chen sind und das Gabelöl
gleichmäßig verteilt wurde.
HINWEIS:
Das Gabelöl bis zum oberen Ende
des äußeren Rohres einfüllen, oder
das Gabelöl wird nicht über alle Teile
der Vorderradgabel verteilt, so daß
nicht der richtig Stand erhalten wer-
den kann.
Unbedingt das Gabelöl bis zur
Oberkante des äußeren Rohres ein-
füllen und die Vorderradgabel entlüf-
ten.
20. Messen:
9Ölstand (links und rechts) a
Abweichung von Spezifikation
Einstellen.
HINWEIS:
Unbedingt die Federführung 2ein-
bauen, wenn der Ölstand kontrolliert
wird.

Immer darauf achten, daß der Öl-
stand zwischen dem maximalen
und minimalen Pegel eingestellt ist,
und immer beide Gabelbeine auf
den gleichen Wert einstellen.
Ungleichmäßige Einstellung kann
schlechtes Steuervermögen und
verminderte Stabilität verursachen.
19. Attendre dix minutes jusqu’à ce
que les bulles d’air aient été élimi-
nées de la fourche avant et que
l’huile se soit uniformément répar-
tie dans le circuit avant de régler la
niveau d’huile préconisé.
N.B.:
Remplir avec l’huile pour fourche jus-
qu’à l’extrémité supérieure du tube ex-
térieur, sinon l’huile de fourche ne se
répandra pas vers chaque partie des
fourches avant, rendant ainsi impos-
sible un bon niveau.
Toujours remplir avec de l’huile pour
fourche jusqu’au niveau supérieur du
tube extérieur et purger les fourches
avant.
20. Mesurer:
9Niveau d’huile (gauche et droit)

N.B.:
Toujours installer le guide 2de ressort
lors de la vérification du niveau d’huile.

Ne jamais oublier de faire le réglage
de niveau d’huile entre les niveaux
maximum et minimum et toujours
régler chaque fourche avant au
même réglage. Un réglage inégal peut
entraîner une mauvaise maniabilité
et une perte de stabilité.
19. Attendere dieci minuti finché le
bolle d’aria sono state tolte dalla
forcella anteriore e l’olio si è di-
stribuito uniformemente nell’im-
pianto prima di impostare il livello
dell’olio raccomandato.
NOTA:
Riempire con l’olio per forcelle fino
all’estremità superiore del tubo esterno,
o l’olio della forcella non si distribuirà
in ogni parte delle forcelle anteriori,
rendendo così impossibile ottenere il li-
vello corretto.
Assicurarsi di riempire con l’olio per
forcelle fino alla parte superiore del
tubo esterno e di spurgare le forcelle
anteriori.
20. Misurare:
9Livello dell’olio (sinistro e de-
stro) a

NOTA:
Assicurarsi di installare la guida dellla
molla 2quando si controlla il livello
dell’olio.

Non mancare mai di effettuare la re-
golazione del livello dell’olio fra il li-
vello massimo e minimo e regolare
sempre ciascuna forcella anteriore
alla stessa impostazione. Una regola-
zione non uniforme può provocare
scarsa maneggevolezza e perdita di
stabilità.

tight.
9Record the set position of the adjuster (the
amount of turning out the fully turned in posi-
tion).
