Refitting the wheel
After positioning the wheel, pre-tighten the bolts using the wheelbrace 1.
Compress the jack 3and release it.
Fully tighten the bolts using the wheelbrace 1.
Replace the wheel trim, starting at the valve passage hole, and press on it using the palm of the hand.
Replace the shim and the jack in their bag, then store the tools in the boot.For your safety, always change the wheel:
- on level, stable and non-slippery ground,
- with the handbrake applied and the ignition switched off,
- with the first or reverse gear engaged (position Pfor the auto-
matic gearbox),
- with the vehicle chocked using a shim.
Never go underneath a vehiclewhich is supported only by a
jack (use an axle stand) .
After changing the wheel:
- As soon as possible contact a PEUGEOT dealer to check that the wheel bolts are tight.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF
ALLOY WHEELS Bolt covers The bolts on the alloy wheels are covered with chrome-plated trimcaps. Remove them using the yellow tool 4
before slackening the bolts. Refitting the spare wheel* If your vehicle is fitted with a steel spare wheel, when fitting the wheelit is
normal to notice that the bolt
washers do not come into contact
with the wheel. The spare wheel isheld in place by the conical supportof each bolt. Fitting snow tyres If you fit snow tyres mounted on steel rims onto your vehicle, it isessential to use special bolts avail-
able from a PEUGEOT dealer. Wheel anti-theft bolts* If your wheels are fitted with anti- theft bolts (one per wheel), thechrome-plated trim cap and then theplastic cover on the wheel must beremoved, using tool
4, before slack-
ening the bolt using one of the anti-theft sockets (handed to you alongwith the duplicate keys and the con-fidential card on delivery of yourvehicle) and the wheelbrace 1.
Note: take a careful note of the code
number engraved on the head of the
anti-theft socket. This will enableyou to obtain a duplicate anti-theft
socket from a PEUGEOT dealer.
* According to model and destination.

- Pull the tab
Aupwards and remove the protective cover.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Press the end of the securing clip to remove it. Change the faulty bulb.
- On fitting, ensure that the direction notches are in the correct position and that the clip is secured correctly.
- Reconnect the connector.
- Replace the protective cover.
CHANGING A BULB Dipped/main headlamps H7 55W Side lights W5W
Turn the pin connector
Ba quarter turn and remove it.
Change the bulb.
Remarks
- Only touch the bulbs with a dry cloth.
- To replace the bulbs on the right side, remove the wash-wipe reservoir filler pipe first.
- Condensation may form inside the headlamps. It will disappear when the lights are used.

Amber direction indicators PY21W
Turn the pin connector
Ca quarter
turn and remove it. Change the bulb. Amber direction indicator side repeater WY5W Push the repeater forwards or back-
wards and release the assembly. Hold the connector and turn the transparent cover a quarter turn. Change the bulb.
PEUGEOT recommends the use of H7 bulbs ofbrands:
- GE/TUNGSRAM, - PHILIPS,- OSRAM,
to avoid damaging the headlamps.These comply with the anti-UV (ultraviolet) specifications neces-sary for the correct operation andreliability of the headlamps. The headlamps are fitted with polycarbon glass with a protective
coating. We strongly adviseagainst cleaning them using a dryor abrasive cloth or using deter-gents or solvents. Use a soft, damp cloth.
