1. O/D OFF Indicator Lamp Does Not Come OnECS007R0
SYMPTOM:
O/D OFF indicator lamp does not come on for about 2 seconds when turning ignition switch to “ON”.
1.CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position.
2. Disconnect A/T device harness connector.
3. Check continuity between A/T device terminals 7 and ground.
If OK, check harness for short to ground and short to power.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2
NG >> Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power
in harness or connectors.
2.CHECK LAMP CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch to “ON” position.
(Do not start engine.)
2. Disconnect A/T device harness connector.
3. Check voltage between A/T device terminals 8 and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3
NG >> Check the following items:
●Harness for short or open between ignition switch and
TCM terminals 8.
3.CHECK OVERDRINE CONTROL SWITCH
1. Disconnect A/T device harness connector.
2. Check continuity between A/T device terminals 7 and 8.
OK or NG
OK >>INSPECTION END.
NG >> Repair or replace A/T device.
2. Engine Cannot Be Started In “P” and “N” PositionECS007R1
SYMPTOM:
●Engine cannot be started with selector lever in “P” or “N” position.
●Engine can be started with selector lever in “D”, “2”, “1” or “R” position. Continuity should exist.

2.CHECK PNP SWITCH CIRCUIT (WITHOUT CONSULT-II)
Without CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch to “ON” position. (Do not start engine.)
2. Check voltage between TCM terminals 26, 27, 34, 35, 36 and
ground while moving selector lever through each position.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4
NG >> Check the following items:
●PNP switch (Refer to AT- 3 3 8 , "COMPONENT
INSPECTION" .)
●Harness for short or open between ignition switch and
PNP switch
●Harness for short or open between PNP switch and TCM
●Diode (P, N positions)
3.CHECK OVERDRIVE CONTROL SWITCH CIRCUIT (WITH CONSULT-II)
With CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch to “ON” position.
(Do not start engine.)
2. Select “TCM INPUT SIGNALS” in “DATA MONITOR” mode for “A/T” with CONSULT-II.
3. Read out “OVERDRIVE SWITCH”.
Check the signal of the overdrive control switch is indicated properly.
(Overdrive control switch “ON” displayed on CONSULT-II means
overdrive “OFF”.)
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5
NG >> Check the following items:
●Overdrive control switch (Refer to AT- 3 3 8 , "COMPO-
NENT INSPECTION" .)
●Harness for short or open between TCM and over-
drive control switch
●Harness of ground circuit for overdrive control switch
