B460D02Y-AAT Manual Operation of Sunroof
If the sunroof does not electrically op- erate:
1. Remove the rectangular plastic in- terior light lens in the front of the roof panel. HXGS234
WARNING:
o Do not close a sunroof if anyone's hands, arms or body are between the sliding glass and the sunroof sash, as this could result in in- jury.
o Do not place your head or arms out of the sunroof opened at anytime. B460C01Y-AAT Tilting the Sunroof System
The sunroof can be tilted and closed with the ignition key in the "ON" posi- tion. Release the button when the sunroof reaches the desired position. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any water that is on the sunroof before oper-ating it. HXGS233!
CAUTION:
o Do not open the sunroof in se- verely cold temperature or when it is covered with ice or snow.
o Periodically remove any dirt that may have accumulated on theguide rails.!

2. Remove the front overhead light
and switch panel, using a phillips screwdriver. HXGS235

3. Insert the hexagonal head wrench provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found inthe vehicle's trunk or glove box.
4. Turn the wrench clockwise to open
or counterclockwise to close thesunroof.

(With sunroof) The two map light switches are located on both sides of the interior light. Pushin the map light switch to turn the light on or off. HXG602J

o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays off at all times even though a door is open.

The interior courtesy light has three buttons. The three buttons are: o DOOR In the "DOOR" position, the interiorcourtesy light comes on when any door is opened regardless of the igni- tion key position. The light goes outgradually 6 seconds after the door is closed. HSM045

The personal light are located on the both of the rear pillar. Push the per- sonal light switch to turn the light on or off.

The spectacle case is located on the front overhead console. Push the end of the cover to open the spectacle case.o ON In the "ON" position, the light stays on at all times. o OFF In the "OFF" position, the light stays offat all times even though a door is open.
WARNING:
Do not open the spectacle casewhile the vehicle is moving. Therear view mirror of the vehicle can be blocked by an open spectacle case.

WARNING:
To avoid the possibility of injury in case of an accident or a suddenstop, the glove box door should be kept closed when the car is in mo- tion.
o To open the glove box, pull on the glove box release lever.
o The glove box door can be locked with the key. HXG513

B510D01HP-AAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR HEATER (If installed) The outside rearview mirror heater is actuated in connection with the rear window defroster. To heat the outsiderearview mirror glass, push in the switch for the rear window defroster. The rearview mirror glass will be heated fordefrosting or defogging and will give you improved rear vision in inclimate weather conditions. Push the switchagain to turn the heater off. The out- side rearview mirror heater automati- cally turns itself off after 20 minutes. HXG122

CAUTION:
o Do not operate the switch con- tinuously for an unnecessary length of time.
o Scraping ice from the mirror face could cause permanent damage.To remove any ice, use a sponge, soft cloth or approved deicer. HXGS252
B510B01L-GAT OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR Electric Type (If installed) The outside rearview mirrors can be adjusted in any direction to give the maximum rearview vision. The remote control outside rearviewmirror switch controls the adjustments for both right and left outside mirrors. To adjust the position of either mirror:
1. Move the selecting switch to the
right or left to activate the adjustable mechanism for the corresponding door mirror.
2. Now, adjust mirror angle by de- pressing the appropriate perimeterswitch as illustrated. B510B01L

WARNING:
Be careful when judging the size or distance of any object seen in the passenger side rear view mirror. Itis a convex mirror with a curved surface. Any objects seen in this mirror are closer than they appear.

B510C01A-AAT FOLDING THE OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRRORS To fold the outside rear view mirrors, push them toward the rear. The outside rear view mirrors can befolded rearward for parking in narrow areas. B510C01LB520A01A-AAT DAY/NIGHT INSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR Your Hyundai is equipped with a day/ night inside rearview mirror. The "night" position is selected by flipping the tabat the bottom of the mirror toward you. In the "night" position, the glare of headlights of cars behind you is re-duced. HXG514J

Do not adjust or fold the outside rear view mirrors while the vehicle is moving. This could result in loss of control, and an accident whichcould cause death, serious injury or property damage.

B540A01S-GAT TRUNK LID Remote Trunk Lid Release
To open the trunk lid without using the key, pull up the lid release lever lo-cated on the driver's door panel. To close, lower the trunk lid, then press down on it until it locks. To besure the trunk lid is securely fastened, always check by trying to pull it up again. HXGS231B530B01L-GAT PARKING BRAKE (Foot type)
o To engage the foot type parking
brake, depress the parking brake pedal beneath the left side of the lower instrument panel.
o To release the parking brake, pull up the parking brake release leverat the left side of the instrumentpanel. HXGS325
Always engage the parking brake be- fore leaving the car. This also turns on the parking brake indicator light when the key is in the "ON" or "START"position. Before driving away, be sure that the parking brake is fully released and the indicator light is off.
o To engage the parking brake, pull
the lever up as far as possible.
o To release the parking brake, pull up the lever and press the thumb button. Then, while holding the but-ton in, lower the brake lever.

B540B04Y-AAT Trunk Lid Knob Lock (If installed) If the trunk lid lock knob (located near the latch) is in the "LOCK" position when the trunk lid is closed, it will notbe possible to open the trunk lid by using the remote release. In this in- stance, use the master key to unlockand open the trunk lid. To allow the trunk lid to be opened with the remote release, push the trunk lidlock knob down, then to the opposite direction of the "LOCK" position.

The trunk lid should always be keptcompletely closed while the vehicle is in motion. If it is left open or ajar,exhaust gases may enter the car and serious illness or death may result. See additional warnings con-cerning exhaust gases on page 2-2.

B540B03E-AAT Trunk Lid Emergency Latch Re- lease Your vehicle is equipped with a glow- in-the dark emergency trunk releaselever located inside the trunk. It will glow after the trunk is closed. When pulled, this lever will release the trunklatch mechanism and open the trunk. Pull to open the trunk
