The c arg o area lig ht switc h has three p ositions: ON : The lig ht stays on c ontinuously.
DOOR: The lig ht c omes on only when the rear g ate is op en ed .
OFF: The lig ht stays off.
When leaving your vehic le, make sure the lig ht is t urned off to avoid b at-
tery d isc harg e.
Luggage cover (if equipped)
WARNING
Do not place anything on the extended cover. Putting excessive weight on the extended cover can break it and an object on the
cover could tumble forward in the event of a sudden stop or colli-
sion. This could cause serious injury.
The lug g ag e c over is p rovid ed for c overing the c arg o area and to p ro-
tec t its c ontents from d irec t sunlig ht. This c over is d etac hab le to make
room for ad d itional c arg o.

Using the cover

To extend the c over, p ull the end of the c over out of the housing , then
insert its hooks into the c atc hes as shown. To rewi nd it, unhook it from
the c atc hes and it will rewind automatic ally. You s hould hold on to the
c over and g uid e it b ac k into the c over housing whil e it is rewind ing .
To remove the cover

Fastening strap
1. Rewind the c over.
2. Remove the fastening strap s of the c over from the head rests.
3. To take it off the retainer, lift it out.
4. Store the c over housing in the c arg o area.

To install the cover
1. Insert the b oth end s of the c over housing into th e retainers.
2. Attac h the fastening strap s to the head rests.
The c over c an b e installed in either of two p ositio ns.

To install the c over housing in the other p osition, remove the c ap s
from the retainers.
Shopping bag hook
HS6016BA
A shop p ing b ag hook is attac hed to eac h sid e of the c arg o area. You
c an hook a lig ht shop p ing b ag or something similar on it.

6-28Cargo anchorage eyelets
CAUTION
The cargo anchorage eyelets are designed only for securing light cargo. Never try to secure any cargo which weighs more than theload capacity of the anchorage eyelets. The maximum load ca-pacity is about 44 lb. (20 kg) per eyelet.

When using the anc horag e eyelets, raise them up . Wh en not in use,
lower the eyelets d own.

Under floor storage tray
CAUTION
Always keep the lid of the storage tray closed while driving to
reduce the risk of injury in the event of sudden stops or an acci- dent. Do not store spray cans, containers with flammable or corro-
sive liquids or any other dangerous items in the storage tray.
