CHANGING A FLAT TIRE
Have a flat serviced by an authorizeddealer to prevent damage to the systemsensors. See Tire Pressure MonitoringSystem Precautions (page 351).Replacethe spare tire with a road tire as soon aspossible. During repairing or replacing theflat tire, have the authorized dealer inspectthe system sensor for damage.
If you get a flat tire when driving, do notapply the brake heavily. Instead, graduallydecrease your speed. Hold the steeringwheel firmly and slowly move to a safeplace on the side of the road.
Note:The use of tire sealant may damageyour tire pressure monitoring system andshould only be used in roadsideemergencies.
Note:The tire pressure monitoring systemindicator light illuminates when the sparetire is in use. To restore the full function ofthe monitoring system, all road wheelsequipped with tire pressure monitoringsensors must be mounted on this vehicle.

2.Fully insert the jack handle through thebumper hole and into the guide tubethrough the access hole in the rearbumper. Turn the handlecounterclockwise until the tire islowered to the ground and the cable isslightly slack to allow the tire to be slidrearward from under the vehicle.
3.Remove the retainer from the centerof the wheel.
4.Block both the front and rear of thewheel diagonally opposite the flat tire.For example, if the left front tire is flat,block the right rear wheel.
Jacking the Vehicle
1.Loosen each wheel lug nut one-halfturn counterclockwise, but do notremove them until the wheel is raisedoff the ground.
Note:Jack at the specified locations toavoid damage to the vehicle.
2.The vehicle jacking points shown hereare also depicted on the warning labelon the jack. Small arrow-shaped markson the vehicle sills show the locationof the jacking points.
3.Turn the wrench clockwise to raise thevehicle until the flat tire is completelyoff the ground.
4.Remove the lug nuts with the lugwrench.
Note:For vehicles with full wheel coverswith exposed wheel nuts, remove the wheelnuts prior to removing the wheel cover ordamage to the wheel cover may occur.
5.Replace the flat tire with the spare tire,making sure the valve stem is facingoutward. Reinstall the lug nuts until thewheel is snug against the hub. Do notfully tighten the lug nuts until the wheelhas been lowered.
6.Lower the wheel by turning the jackhandle counterclockwise.
7.Remove the jack and fully tighten thelug nuts in the order shown.

HOW DOES DIGITAL RADIO WORK
Your system has a special receiver thatallows it to receive digital broadcasts inaddition to analog broadcasts.
HD1 signifies the main programming statusand is available in both analog and digitalbroadcasts. Other multicast stations areonly available digitally and could containnew or different content.
Note:When the system first receives anHD1 station, it plays the station in the analogversion until it verifies the station is an HDRadio station. Then it shifts to the digitalversion.
Note:There is an audio mute delay whenswitching to an HD2 or HD3 station becausethe system has to reacquire and decode thedigital signal.
DIGITAL RADIO LIMITATIONS
If you are outside the reception area, thesystem could not work.
If you are on the fringe of the receptionarea, the station could mute due to weaksignal strength.
Note:If you are listening to HD1, the systemchanges back to the analog broadcast untilthe digital broadcast is available again. Ifyou are listening to any other multicastchannels, the station mutes and staysmuted unless it is able to connect to thedigital signal again.
Depending on the station quality, you couldhear a slight sound change when thestation changes between analog anddigital audio.
You cannot access a saved HD station ifyour vehicle is outside the station’sreception area.
SWITCHING DIGITAL RADIORECEPTION ON AND OFF
1.Access the vehicle drawer on thetouchscreen.
2.Press SETTINGS.
3.Press Radio.
4.Switch HD Radio on or off.

The color of the indicator changes toindicate the system status.
Gray indicates the system is acquiring adigital station.
Orange indicates digital audio is playing.
Multicast Indicator
The multicast indicator appears if thecurrent station is broadcasting multipledigital broadcasts. The highlightednumbers indicate additional digitalchannels available.
Note:For stations that have more than oneHD multicast, the HD indicator and radiotext appears as a button. Press the buttonto cycle through all of the HD stations onthat specific frequency.

SATELLITE RADIO LIMITATIONS
For optimal reception performance, keepthe antenna clear of snow and ice build-upand keep luggage and other material asfar away from the antenna as possible.Placing luggage over the antenna mayreduce performance. Factory-installed andaftermarket vehicle structures including,but not limited to, roof racks and soft toproofs in a partially open position couldreduce reception performance.
Hills, mountains, tall buildings, bridges,tunnels, freeway overpasses, parkinggarages, dense tree foliage andthunderstorms can interfere with yourreception.
When you pass a ground-basedbroadcast-repeating tower, a strongersignal may overtake a weaker one andcould result in the audio system muting.Your display could show an error messageto indicate the interference.

When HD Radio is on and you tune to astation broadcasting HD Radio technology,you may notice the following indicators onyour screen:
The HD logo is grey when acquiring a digitalstation, and then changes to orange whendigital audio is playing. When this logo isavailable, you may also see Title and Artistfields on-screen.
The multicast indicator appears in FMmode (only) if the current station isbroadcasting multiple digital broadcasts.The highlighted numbers signify availabledigital channels where new or differentcontent is available. HD1 signifies the mainprogramming status and is available inanalog and digital broadcasts. Othermulticast stations (HD2 through HD7) areonly available digitally.
Note: There is also an additional featurefor stations that have more than 1 HDmulticast (For example, HD1 or HD2). TheHD logo and Radio text appears as a button.Pressing this button allows you to cyclethrough all of the HD stations on thatspecific frequency. For example, if you areon 101.1 and it has HD1, HD2, HD3, pressingthe button repeatedly causes the radio tocycle through the HD stations in a cyclicincreasing order.
When HD Radio broadcasts are active, you can access the following functions:

HD Radio Reception and Station Troubleshooting
Potential Reception Issues
If you are listening to a multicast station and you are on thefringe of the reception area, the station may mute due toweak signal strength.
Reception area
If you are listening to HD1, the system changes back to theanalog broadcast until the digital broadcast is available again.However, if you are listening to any of the possible HD2-HD7multicast channels, the station mutes and stays muted unlessit is able to connect to the digital signal again.
When the system first receives a station (aside from HD2-HD7 multicast stations), it first plays the station in the analogversion. Once the receiver verifies the station is an HD Radiostation, it shifts to the digital version. Depending on the stationquality, you may hear a slight sound change when the stationchanges from analog to digital. Blending is the shift fromanalog to digital sound or digital back to analog sound.

In order to provide the best possibleexperience, use the contact form to reportany station issues found while listening toa station broadcasting with HD Radiotechnology. Independent entities own andoperate each station. These stations areresponsible for ensuring all audio streamsand data fields are accurate.
