Cooling fans
If a large amount of coolant leaks,
immediately contact any authorized

5 Add engine coolant if necessary.
Water can be used in an emergency if
engine coolant is unavailable.
6 Start the engine and turn the air
conditioning system on to check
that the radiator cooling fans
operate and to check for coolant
leaks from the radiator or hoses.
The fans operate when the air condi-
tioning system is turned on immediately
after a cold start. Confirm that the fans are operating by checking the fan
sound and air flow. If it is difficult to
check these, turn the air conditioning system on and off repea tedly. (The fans
may not operate in freezing tempera-
tures.)
7 If the fans are not operating:
Stop the engine immediately
and contact any authorized
Toyota retailer or Toyota author-
ized repairer, or any reliable
repairer.
If the fans are operating: Have
the vehicle inspected at the
nearest any authorized Toyota
retailer or Toyota authorized
repairer, or any reliable repairer.

■When inspecting under the hood
of your vehicle
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so ma y result in serious
injury such as burns.
3708-1. Specifications
*: If unleaded gasoline with a Research Octane Number of 98 is not available,
unleaded gasoline with a Research Octane Number of 95 may be used with no
detriment to engine durability or driveability.
■Oil capacity (Drain and refill [Reference*])
*: The engine oil capacity is a reference quantity to be used when changing the
engine oil. Warm up and turn off the engine, wait more than 5 minutes, and check
the oil level on the dipstick.
■Engine oil selection
“Toyota Genuine Motor Oil” is used
in your Toyota vehicle. Use Toyota
approved “Toyota Genuine Motor
Oil” or equivalent to satisfy the fol-
lowing grade and viscosity.
Oil grade:
0W-20, 5W-20 and 5W-30:
API grade SL “Energy-Conserving”,
SM “Energy-Conserving”, SN
“Resource-Conserving” or SN
PLUS “Resource-Conserving”; or
ILSAC GF-5 multigrade engine oil
Recommended viscosity (SAE):
SAE 0W-20 is filled in to your Toyota
vehicle at manufacturing, and the
best choice for good fuel economy
and good starting in cold weather.
If SAE 0W-20 is not available, SAE
5W-20 oil may be used. However, it
must be replaced with SAE 0W-20

263-1. Bluetooth® settings
Up to 5 Bluetooth® phones/devices
(Phones (HFP) and devices (AVP))
can be registered.
If more than 1 Bluetooth®
phone/device has been registered,
select which Bluetooth®
phone/device to connect to.
1 Display the phone settings
screen. ( P. 2 4 )
2 Select “Manage Devices”.
3 Select the Bluetooth®
phone/device to be connected
or disconnected.
To disconnect the Bluetooth®
phone/device, select “Yes”.
“Connected” is displayed next to
the currently connected
Bluetooth® phone/device.
If the desired Bluetooth®
phone/device is not on the list,
select “Add” to register the
Bluetooth® phone/device.
( P. 2 4 )
4 Check that “Connected” is dis-
played next to the Bluetooth®
phone/device when the connec-
tion is complete.
If an error message appears, fol-
low the guidance on the screen
to try again.
●It may take time if the Bluetooth®
phone/device connection is carried
out during Bluetooth® audio playback.
●Depending on the type of Bluetooth®
phone/device being connected, it may
be necessary to perform additional
steps on the Bluetooth®
phone/device.
Leave the Bluetooth® phone/device
in a location where the connection
can be established.
When the engine switch is
changed to ACC or ON, the sys-
tem searches for a nearby regis-
tered Bluetooth® phone/device.
The system will connect with the
registered Bluetooth®
phone/device that was last con-
nected, if it is nearby.
When the auto connection has
failed, it is nece ssary to connect
Bluetooth® phones/devices manu-
ally.
Follow the “Connecting or discon-
necting Bluetooth® phone/device”.
