*1: These lights turn on when the engine switch is turned to the “ON” position(vehicles without a smart key system) or the engine switch is turned to
IGNITION ON mode (vehicles with a smart key system) to indicate that a
system check is being performed. They will turn off after the engine is
started, or after a few seconds. There may be a malfunction in a system if
the lights do not come on, or do not turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by
your Toyota dealer.
*2: This light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*3: This light does not turn on when the system is disabled.
*4: This light illuminates on the center panel.
*5: This light illuminates on the multi-information display.
*6: This light turns on when the system is off.
*7: In order to confirm operation, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators illuminate in the following situations:
• When the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode while the sys-
tem is set to on.
• When the system is set to on while the engine switch is in IGN ITION ON
mode.
*8: This light illuminates on the outside rear view mirrors.
WARNING
■ If a safety system warning light does not come on
Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS warning li ght not
come on when you start the engine, this could mean that these s ystems are
not available to help protect you in an accident, which could result in death
or serious injury. Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer immedi-
ately if this occurs.

Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute
Engine coolant temperature gauge
Displays the engine coolant temperature
Multi-information display
Presents the driver with a variety of vehicle data (P. 92)
Fuel gauge
Displays the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank

When the headlight switch is turned to on, the brightness will be reduced
slightly unless the control dial is turned fully upward.

NOTICE
■ To prevent damage to the engine and its components
● Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which
indicates the maximum engine speed.
● The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is
in the red zone (H). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe
place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely. ( P. 527)

The multi-information display presents the driver with a variety of driv-
ing related data, such as the cur rent outside temperature. The multi-
information display can also be used to change the display sett ings
and other settings.
Shift position and shift range (

Menu icon display area
Displays the following items.
When a menu icon is not selected, the outside temperature is di splayed.

Content display area
A variety of information can be displayed by selecting a menu i con. Addi-
tionally, warning or pop-up display will be displayed in some s ituations.

The multi-information display is operated using the meter contr ol
switches.

When the confirmation screen is displayed, select yes to regist er the
screen. If the selected screen cannot be registered, a registra tion failure
message will be shown.
Return to the previous screen
Call sending/receiving display
Linked with the hands-free system, sending or receiving call is displayed.
For details regarding the hands-free system, refer to the “Navigation sys-
tem owner's manual”.
*: When the screen can be scrolled or different content can be displayed, a
mark, such as an arrow, will be displayed to suggest which switch to oper-
ate.

Select to display various drive data. (P. 95)

• Compass display (north-up display/heading-up display)
Audio system-linked display (if equipped)
Select to enable selection of an audio source or track on the d isplay
using the meter control switches.
Driving assist system information
Select to display the operational status of the following syste ms:
• Dynamic radar cruise control ( P. 268)
• LDA (Lane Departure Alert) ( P. 260)
Warning message display
Select to display warning messages and measures to be taken if a
malfunction is detected. ( P. 497)
• When there are no current warning messages, “No Messages” is displayed.
• When there are multiple warning messages, or can be used to switch the displayed warning message.
Settings display
Select to change the meter display settings and the operation set-
tings of some vehicle functions. ( P. 97)

sumption. As a result, the actual

not be updated. When refueling, turn the engine switch off. If the vehicle
is refueled without turning the engine switch off, the display may not be
updated.
*3: Use the displayed average fuel economy as a reference.

Eco Indicator (Eco Drivi ng Indicator Zone Display)

■Speed
Displays the vehicle speed.
■Vehicle sway warning
Detects the sway of the vehicle within a lane, which is often associ-
ated with a decrease in the driv er’s attention level, and displays the
decrease in attention using a bar display.
The shorter the bar length, the m ore the driver may need to rest.
This display is a part of the LDA (Lane Departure Alert) system. The dis-
play is enabled when the operating conditions of the vehicle sw ay warn-
ing function are met. ( P. 260)
