Press the seat belt tongue of seat belt 1 int o
marked position 2. 
Move the driver's or front passenger seat for-
w
ards, if necessary. 
To fold the les and r
ight seat backrests for-
wards: insert the head restraints for the seat
backrests ( page 112). 
Pull release lever 1. 
Fold the corresponding seat backrest for-
w

ards. 
Fold the rear seat armrest back if necessary. 
To fold the centre seat backrest forwards:

Observe the following recommendations:

ou wish to fold only one of the outer seat
backrests forwards, it is recommended that
you fold the right seat backrest forwards. 126

ests forwards together with the centre seat
backrest, it is recommended that you fold the
les and centre seat backrests forwards.
Folding back the rear seat backrest

Before you fold the seat backrests for-

ards and backwards, insert the head
restraints. Folding back the rear seat mechanically

gage or heavy loads.
You could be hit by an unsecured load, partic-
ularly in the event of abrupt changes in direc-
tion, sudden braking or an accident. 
Always stow objects in such a way that

hey cannot be thrown around. 
Secure objects, luggage or loads against
slipping or tipping o

ver, e.g. by using
lashing material, even if you are using
the load compartment cover. *

Requirements: = The collapsible load compartment cover is fol-
ded up. Removing the collapsible load compartment cover

tion and remove it in the direction of the arrow
from brackets 2 on the les and right.128

Place collapsible load compartment cover 2
on edg e 1. 
Place collapsible load compartment cover 2

o the brackets on the les and right 3 and
push it forwards in the direction of the arrow.
The end caps of the collapsible load compart-
ment cover will engage. Attaching/removing the partitioning net

The partitioning net alone cannot secure or

To attach: extend and unfold the partitioning
net.

Pull on the loose ends of the lashing straps
