start by pushing the ignition switch with

Vehicle security system activationThe vehicle security system will give the
following alarm:
.The headlights blink and the horn
sounds intermittently.
. The alarm automatically turns off
after approximately 1 minute. How-
ever, the alarm reactivates if the vehicle is tampered with again.
The alarm is activated by:
. Opening the door or the trunk lid
without using the button on the
Intelligent Key, the door handle re-
quest switch or the mechanical key.
(Even if the door is opened by releas-
ing the door inside lock knob, the
alarm will activate.)
. Opening the hood.
How to stop an activated alarmThe alarm will stop by:
.Unlocking a door by pushing the
UNLOCK button on the Intelligent Key.
. Unlocking a door by pushing the door
handle request switch.
. Pushing the ignition switch to the ACC
or ON position.
If the system does not operate as
described above, it is recommended
you have it checked by a GT-R certified
NISSAN dealer.

Security indicator lightThe security indicator light is located on
the instrument panel. It indicates the
status of the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer
System.
The light blinks whenever the ignition
switch is in the ACC, OFF or LOCK posi-
tion. This function indicates the security
systems equipped on the vehicle are
operational.
If the NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System
is malfunctioning, this light will remain on
while the ignition switch is in the ON
position.
If the light still remains on and/or theengine will not start, it is recommended
you see a GT-R certified NISSAN dealer
for NISSAN Vehicle Immobilizer System
service as soon as possible. Please
bring all Intelligent Keys that you have
when visiting a GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer for service.

USING THE WASHERPull the lever toward you to operate the
washer. Then the wiper will also operate
several times.

HEADLIGHT SWITCH
LightingFor USA:
The parking, tail and license plate lights
will turn on after the engine is started
regardless of the position of the headlight
switch. The lights will turn off when the
engine is turned off.
The daytime running lights will also turn
on when the engine is started.
Turning the switch to the
position:
The parking, side marker, tail, license plate
and instrument lights will come on and the daytime running light will remain on.
Turning the switch to the
position:
Headlights will come on and all the other
lights remain on. The daytime running
light will turn off.
