in an almost vertical position and that
th e shoulder section of your seat belt is

If th e ignition is not switched on, you can adjust
th e seat within 30 seconds of unlocking theve hi‐

re ctly engaged when the seat legs engage audibly
and indicator tabs 5 onthe seat legs are no lon‐
ge r visible and ha vefully retracted into the seat
legs.

Always make sure that there ar ben ch
seat is engaged as described. In order
toensure that there ar ben chseat can
securely engage, keep the seat guide rails and
anchora ges in theve hicle floor free of dirt and
fo re ign objects.
If th e indicator tab of the seat anchorage is not
re tracted into the seat leg, the seat is not cor‐
re ctly engaged. Engage the seat again. &

When you adjust a seat, you may trap your‐
self or a vehicle occupant. #
When adjusting a seat, make sure that
no one has any body parts in the sweep

When ins talling and removing there ar seats with
seat heating and seat ventilation or the luxury
re ar seats, no tethero uting of the cables and
th eir original ins tallation positions. Otherwise,
yo u may damage the cables and the on-board
computer may de tect the seat position incor‐
re ctly.
Use only rear seats with seat heating and seat
ve ntilation or luxury rear seats that we resupplied
with theve hicle. Due tothe high-quality design
and thete ch nical equipment, Mercedes-Benz rec‐
ommends that you ha veluxury rear seats ins tal‐
led at a qualified specialist workshop. Re

to react tohigh temp eratures may be af fec‐
te d or they may even suf fer burn-like injuries. #
Do not repeatedly switch on the seat
heating. To
protect against overheating, the seat heating
may be temp orarily deactivated af ter it is
switched on repeatedly.
