wa rds or back until the desired position has
been reached. #
Release le ver1 and push the seat back or
fo rw ards until you hear the seat engage.

Before starting the engine: adjust the
driver's seat, head restra ints, steering
wheel and mir ror in particular and fas‐

WARNING Risk of becoming trapped dur‐
ing seat adjustment
When you adjust a seat, you or other vehicle
occupants could become trapped, e.g. on the
seat guide rail. #
Make sure when adjusting a seat that
no one has any body parts in the sweep
of the seat. Obser

The front airbags can also injure the occu‐

The seat belt will not of ferth e intended le vel

Always ensure that the seat backrest is

If head restra ints ha venot been ins talled or

increased risk of injury in the head and neck
area, e.g. in theev ent of an accident or when
braking. #
Always drive with the head restra ints fit‐
te d. #
Before driving off, make sure forev ery
ve hicle occupant that the cent reofthe
head restra int supports the back of the
head at about eye le vel. Do not inter
change the head restra ints of the
front and rear seats. Otherwise, you will not be
able toset the height and inclination of the head
re stra ints tothe cor rect position. &

Do not transport any heavy loads on the

When the memory function adjusts the seat,

memory function, make sure that no

If somebody becomes trapped, immedi‐
ately release the memory function posi‐
tion button.

seat engages securely.
If th e indicator tab of the anchorage is not retrac‐
te d into the seat leg, the seat is not cor rectly
engaged. Engage the seat again. Example: seat
rail sy stem with quick- locking
mechanism
Guide rails 1 ofthe seat rail sy stem can be used
fo rth efo llowing purposes:
R For mounting up totwo rear seat rows
R For mounting bo threar seat rows facing one
ano ther
R For mounting rear seats and rear ben chseats
R For moving rear seats and rear ben chseats
% When
youre mo veare ar ben chseat or a
seat, the seat slider may slide into a guide
ra il. The seat sliders will then no longer be
parallel in the guide rails. In this case, you
will no longer be able tofit th ere spective
seating. The seat sliders must be mo ved only
using a special tool or at a qualified specialist
wo rkshop in order topreve nttherisk of dam‐ age. The
tool is available as a Mercedes-Benz
accesso ryor as part of a seat/bunk combi‐
nation.

yo ur vehicle. Depending on
the type of seat anchorage in the
ve hicle floor, you can ins tallth efo llowing seating
va riants:
R Rear ben chseats with two or thre e seats
R Single rear seats
R Seat/bunk combination with thre e seats
Depending on theve hicle equipment, you can fit
th ere ar ben chseats and there ar seats on the
fi rs t and/or second rear seat row.
The seating variants shown are permit ted only if
th e conditions specified below for safe rear seat‐
ing are met. Other seating variants are not per‐
mit ted and may endanger the occupants.
When using only the individual seats, there ar
seats can be ins talled facing in the direction of

fully retracted into the seat anchorage.

Yo u can mo vethe seat/bunk combination only
when it is unoccupied. Pull the seat/bunk combi‐
nation forw ards using only the loop between the
seat sur face and the seat backrest. %
If
th e seat sliders on the front rear seat row
are toofar back in the guide rails, the seat/
bunk combination cannot be movedfo rw ard.
In this case, use the handle forth e seat slid‐
ers tomo vethe seat sliders. #
Pull release handle 1up as far as it will go
and hold it in this position. #
Grasp the loop between the seat sur face and
th e seat backrest and mo vethe seat/bunk
combination. #
Let go of release handle 1.
The locking mechanism will engage automati‐
call y. #
Make sure that all seat sliders forfo re -and-aft
adjustment engage audibly on bo thsides.
It should no longer be possible tomo vethe
seat/bunk combination.
Bed extension #
Tofold up: pullrelease handle 2back and
mo vebed extension 3into an up right posi‐
tion.
The bed extension will engage in an up right

te d or they may even suf fer burn-like injuries. #
Do not repeatedly switch on the seat
heating. To
protect against overheating, the seat heating
may be temp orarily deactivated af ter it is
switched on repeatedly.
