and cause engine damage.

R The water,when calm, may only reach the

R Drive at a maximum speed of 10 km/h; water
can otherwise enter theve hicle interior or
engine compartment.
R Vehicles tr avelling in front, or oncoming vehi-
cles, can create waves which may exceed the
maximum permissible dep thofthewa ter.

The rear axle steering is an elect romechanical
auxiliary steering on there ar axle which adjusts
th e steering of there ar wheels according tothe
position of the front wheels, depending on the
speed. This results in greater manoeuvrability and
impr oved driving stability, e.g. when cornering.

ECO Assist anal yses data forth eve hicle's expec-
te dro ute. This allo ws the system tooptimally
adjust the driving style forth ero ute ahead, sa ve
fuel and recuperate. If the system de tects an
ev ent ahead and theve hicle nears theev ent, ECO
Assist will calculate the optimum speed for maxi-
mum fuel economy and recuperative energy
based on the distance, speed and downhill gradi-
ent.
