■After a fuse is replaced
●If the lights do not turn on even after the fuse has been repla ced, a bulb may
need replacement. ( P. 458)
● If the replaced fuse blows again, have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
dealer.
■ If there is an overload in a circuit
The fuses are designed to blow, protecting the wiring harness f rom damage.
WARNING
■To prevent system breakdowns and vehicle fire
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle, and possibly a fire or
injury.
● Never use a fuse of a higher amperage rating than that indicate d, or use
any other object in place of a fuse.
● Always use a genuine Toyota fuse or equivalent.
Never replace a fuse with a wire, even as a temporary fix.
● Do not modify the fuses or fuse boxes.
■ Fuse box near the power control unit
Never check or replace the fuses as there are high voltage parts and wiring
near the fuse box.
Doing so may cause electric shoc k, resulting in death or serious injury.
NOTICE
■Before replacing fuses
Have the cause of electrical overload determined and repaired b y your
Toyota dealer as soon as possible.

Check the wattage of the light bulb to be replaced. ( P. 544)
Light bulbs
You may replace the following bulbs by yourself. The difficulty
level of replacement varies depending on the bulb. As there is a
danger that components may be damaged, we recommend that
replacement is carried out by your Toyota dealer.

Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise.
Remove the light bulb.
When installing, reverse the steps listed.

Open the back door and
remove the bolts. Pull the
lamp assembly straight back
to disengage the clip and 2
pins. Guide (where the clip
attaches)
Pin
Turn the bulb base counter-
clockwise. Rear turn signal light

Remove the light bulb. Rear turn signal light

When installing the light bulb, install by conducting and
with the directions reversed.
Install the lamp assembly
and then install the 2 bolts.
When installing the lamp assem-
bly, align the guide (where the
clip attaches) and pins of
the lamp assembly with the con-
necting parts on the vehicle
body.

License plate lights
Remove the lens.Insert a properly sized
screwdriver into the hole of
the lens.
Push the screwdriver side-
ways in the direction of the
arrow shown in the illustra-
tion, disengage the hook,
and then remove the lens.
To prevent damaging the
vehicle, wrap the screwdriver
with a tape.
Remove the light bulb.
Install a new light bulb.

Install the lens.Fit the lens into either the
right or left hooks.
Push the lens into place.
After installation, confirm that
the lens is properly installed
by gently pulling it.
■Lights other than the above
If any of the lights listed below has burnt out, have it replac ed by
your Toyota dealer.
● Headlights/daytime running lights
● Front fog lights (if equipped)
● Side marker lights
● Side turn signal lights
● Stop/tail lights
● High mounted stoplight
