Seat belt not
fastened Fixed, then flashing.
The driver and/or front passenger
has not fastened their seat belt. Pull the strap then insert the tongue in the buckle.
Accompanied by an
audible signal, then
fixed. The vehicle is moving with the
driver's and/or front passenger’s
seat belt unfastened. Check that the seat belt is fastened correctly by pulling
the strap.
Power steering Fixed. The power steering has a fault. The vehicle retains conventional steering without
assistance.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Opening detection Fixed, accompanied
by a message in the
screen. One of the vehicle access
openings is not properly closed.
Check that all the vehicle access openings are
properly closed.
Parking brake Fixed. The parking brake is applied or
not properly released. Release the parking brake to switch off the warning
lamp, keeping your foot on the brake pedal.
Brake fluid level Fixed. The fluid level is too low. Top up with a fluid approved by PEUGEOT.

Warning/indicator lamp

unit, etc.).
Under-inflation Fixed. One or more wheels have
insufficient pressure. Check the pressure of the tyres as soon as possible.
This check should preferably be carried out when the
tyres are cold.

Anti-lock braking system
(ABS/EBFD)
The ABS and EBFD (electronic brake force
distribution) systems improve the stability and
manoeuvrability of your vehicle when braking,
in particular on poor or slippery sur faces.
The ABS prevents the wheels from locking,
and the EBFD provides control of the braking
pressure wheel by wheel.
The anti-lock braking system comes into
operation automatically when there is a risk
of wheel lock. It does not reduce the braking
distance.
On very slippery sur faces (ice, oil, etc.), the
ABS may increase the braking distance. When
braking in an emergency, do not hesitate to
press the brake pedal firmly without releasing
the pressure, even on a slippery sur face; you
will then be able to continue to manoeuvre the
vehicle to avoid an obstacle.If this warning lamp comes on
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message in the screen, it
indicates a malfunction of the ABS
which could result in a loss of control
of the vehicle when braking.
If this warning lamp comes on
together with the brake and STOP
warning lamps, accompanied by an
audible signal and a message in the
screen, it indicates a malfunction of
the electronic brake force distribution,
which could result in a loss of control
of the vehicle when braking.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
In both cases, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Emergency braking
assistance (EBA)
In an emergency, this system enables you to
reach the optimum braking pressure more
quickly.
It is triggered in relation to the speed at which
the brake pedal is pressed.
This alters the resistance of the brake pedal
under your foot.To maintain operation of the emergency
braking assistance system, press very
firmly on the brake pedal, maintaining this
pressure.
Normal operation of the ABS may be felt
by slight vibration of the brake pedal.
When changing wheels (tyres and rims),
ensure that these are approved by
P E U G E O T.
Anti-slip regulation (ASR)
and electronic stability
c ont rol (ESC)
These systems are associated with and
complementary to the ABS.
The ASR system is very useful for maintaining
optimum traction and avoiding loss of control of
the vehicle during acceleration.
This system optimises traction to prevent the
wheels from skidding by acting on the brakes
of the driving wheels and on the engine. It also
improves the directional stability of the vehicle on
acceleration.
With the ESC system, maintain the direction
without attempting to steer in the opposite
direction.

Safety

When changing the programmed
reference speed by means of a maintained
press, remain vigilant as the speed can
increase or decrease rapidly.
Do not use the cruise control on slippery
roads or in heavy traffic.
When descending a steep hill, the cruise
control system cannot prevent the vehicle
from exceeding the programmed speed.
The cruise control system cannot in
any circumstances replace the need
to obser ve speed limits or the need for
vigilance on the part of the driver.
It is advisable to leave your feet near the
pedals.
To avoid any jamming under the pedals:

nsure that the mat is positioned and
secured to the floor correctly,

ever fit one mat on top of another.
Active City Brake
Active City Brake is a driving assistance
system that aims to avoid a frontal collision
or reduce the speed of an impact if the driver
does not react sufficiently (inadequate brake
application). This system has been designed to
improve driving safety.
The driver must always check the traffic
and assess the distance and relative
speed of other vehicles.
Active City Brake cannot in any
circumstances replace the need for
vigilance on the part of the driver.
Never look at the laser sensor through
an optical instrument (magnifying glass,
microscope, etc.) at a distance of less
than 10
centimetres: risk of eye injury!
Principle
Using a laser sensor located at the top of the
windscreen, this system detects a vehicle
running in the same direction or stationary
ahead of your vehicle.Automatic braking occurs later than if
done by the driver, so as to inter vene only
when there is a high risk of collision.
Conditions of activation
Active City Brake functions if the following
conditions are met:
-
t
he ignition is on,
-
t
he vehicle is moving for ward,
-
t
he speed is between 3 and 19 mph (5 and
30
km/h),
-
t
he braking assistance systems (ABS,
EBFD, EBA) have not failed,
-
t
he trajectory control systems (ASR, DSC)
are not deactivated or faulty,
-
t
he vehicle is not making a sharp turn,
-
t
he system has not triggered in the last ten
seconds.
If necessary, the vehicle's braking system is
operated automatically to avoid a collision with
the vehicle ahead.
Driving

Fuel system cut-off
In the event of a severe collision, a device
automatically cuts off the fuel supply to the
engine.The flashing of this warning lamp is
accompanied by a message on the
screen.
Verify the absence of any odour and fuel leaks
outside the vehicle and restore the supply:

Check the position of the wheel valve
in relation to the ring of the wheel trim.
Incorrect
wheel trim edge position.

e sure to pre-clip all fixing tabs except the
last (opposite the valve cut-out). -

riskly hit with the palm of the hand the tab
opposite the valve (at the location of the last
fixing tab, always in the clipping direction). Incorrect
valve position: below the ring.
Distortion of the edge of the wheel trim at the
valve, due to incorrect fitting.
In the event of a breakdown

When removing the lamp unit:

spanner provided.

When refitting, take care to reposition

After changing a rear direction indicator
bulb, the reinitialisation time is more than
