Concept
The
seat
climate
control
combines
the
functions
of
the
seat
heating
and
active
seat
ventilation.
General
informationThe
seat
heating
and
active
seat
ventilation
are
operated
with
a
common
button
on
the
climate
control
panel.
When
both
systems
are
active,
a
push
of
the
butj
ton
reduces
the
intensity
of
both
functions
by
one
level
each.
The
last
active
function
or
function
that
is
configj ured
with
higher
intensity
will
be
activated
dij
rectly
when
the
system
is
switched
on
again.
When
both
functions
with
the
same
intensity configuration
are
deactivated,
the
system
will
auj
tomatically
activate
the
seat
heating.

safest

in
the
rear
seat.
Transport
children
younger
than
13
years
of
age
or
shorter
than
5
ft/150
cm
only
in
the
rear
seat in
suitable
child
restraint
systems
designed
forthe
age,
weight
and
size
of
the
child.
Children
13
years
of
age
or
older
must
wear
a
safety
belt as
soon
as
a
suitable
child
restraint
system
canno
longer
be
used
due
to
their
age,
weight,
orsize.

The
safety
belt
cannot
be
fastened
correctly
on
children
shorter
than
5
ft,
150
cm
without
suitaj
ble
additional
child
restraint
systems.
The
effij
cacy
of
safety
gear,
including
safety
belts,
can
be
limited
or
lost
when
safety
belts
are
fasjtened
incorrectly.
An
incorrectly
fastened
safetybelt
can
cause

event

accident
or
during

and evasive

fastening
systems

have
been
damaged

exposed

accident

be

lost.
A
child
cannot
be
properly
rej
strained
in

event

accident

braking

evasive
maneuvers.
There
is
a
risk
of
injuj
ries
or
danger
to

Do
not
use
child
restraint
systems
which
have

damaged

exposed
to
an
accident.
If
a
child
restraint
system
and
its
fastening
sysj tem
has
been
damaged
or
exposed
to
an
accijdent,
have
these
systems
checked

rejplaced

the
dealer's
service
center
or
anotherqualified
service
center

repair
shop.

The
stability
of
the
child
restraint
system
is

ited

compromised
with
incorrect
seat
adjustj ment

improper
installation

child

fits

adjust

backrest
tilt
for

height
of

installing

child
restraint
system

third
row
of
seats,
note
the
following:
'xRoll
up
the
cargo
cover
and
remove
the
case.'xRemove
the
cargo
area
partition
net.'xBring
seats
and
backrests
of
the
second
row of
seats
into
the
most
forward
position.'xRaise
the
head
restraints
of
the
third
row
of
seats
into
the
highest
position.
Do
not
change
the
settings
that
have
been
made after
this.

front
passenger
seat Deactivating
airbags
Warning

front
passenger
seat,
make
sure
that
the
front,
knee
and
side
airbags
on
the
front
passenger side
are
deactivated.
Deactivate
the
front-seat
passenger
airbags
auj
tomatically,
refer
to
page
188.
Seat
position
and
height Before
installing
a
child
restraint
system,
move
the
front
passenger
seat
as
far
back
as
it
will
go
and,
if
possible,
bring
it
up
to
medium
height.
This
seat
position
and
height
ensure
the
best
possible
position
for
the
belt
and
offers
optimal
protection
in
the
event
of
an
accident.
If
the
upper
anchor
of
the
safety
belt
is
located
in
front
of
the
belt
guide
of
the
child
seat,
move
the
front
passenger
seat
carefully
forward
until
the
best
possible
belt
guide
position
is
reached.
Backrest
width
Adjustable
backrest
width:
before
installing
a
child
restraint
system
in
the
front
passenger
seat, open
the
backrest
width
completely.
Do
not
change
the
backrest
width
again
and
do
not
call up
a
memory
position.
Child
seat
security
The
safety
belts
in
the
rear
and
the
front
passenj
ger
safety
belt
can
be
permanently
locked
to
fasj
ten
child
restraint
systems.
Locking
the
safety
belt
1.Pull
out
the
belt
strap
completely.2.Secure

system
with
the
safety

belt
strap

pulled
in

tight
against
