Hold and Charge functions
In certain situations, it can be useful to controlthe hybrid battery's charge level while driving.This is possible with the Hold and Charge func-tions.
Hold and Charge are available in all drivemodes. The functions will switch off if Pure drivemode is activated.

Function buttons for Hold and Charge
The functions can be activated in the center dis-play's Function view.

Hold
Battery level sustained forlater use.
This function retains the chargein the hybrid battery for theelectric motor and saves availa-ble electrical current for use ata later time, such as when driving in an urbanarea or residential neighborhood.
The vehicle will function as in normal hybrid driv-ing with a discharged battery - in addition toreusing energy from e.g. regenerative braking, thecombustion engine will be used more frequentlyto maintain the charge in the battery.
Charge
Engine charges hybridbattery.
This function charges thehybrid battery with the help ofthe combustion engine forincreased use of the electricmotor at a later time.

The symbol is displayed in the hybrid battery gaugewhen Hold is activated.

Recovery
This section refers to transporting the vehiclewith a tow truck or similar vehicle.
Call a professional towing service for assistance.
In certain conditions, the towing eyelet can beused to pull the vehicle onto a flatbed tow truck.

CAUTION
Note that vehicles with Twin Engine mustalways be towed raised with all wheels on thetow truck.
The vehicle's location and ground clearancedetermine if it can be lifted onto a tow truck. Ifthe incline of the tow truck is too steep or if theground clearance under the vehicle is insufficient,attempting to pull it up may result in damage. Inthis case, the vehicle should only be lifted withthe tow truck's lifting equipment.

WARNING
No person or object should be behind the towtruck when the vehicle is lifted onto the bedof the truck.

HomeLink®*14
HomeLink®15 is a programmable remote control,integrated in the vehicle electrical system, thatcan control up to three different devices (e.g.garage door opener, alarm system, outdoor andindoor lighting) and thereby replace the remotecontrols for these.

Programming HomeLink®*16
Follow these instructions to program
HomeLink®, reset all programming, or programindividual buttons.

NOTE
In some vehicles, the ignition must be on or in
the "accessory position" before HomeLink®
can be programmed or used. It can be a goodidea to put new batteries in the remote con-
trol being replaced by HomeLink® for fasterprogramming and better radio signal trans-
mission. The HomeLink® buttons should bereset before programming.

WARNING
While HomeLink® is being programmed, thegarage door or gate being programmed maybe activated. Make sure that no one is nearthe door or gate during programming. Whenprogramming a garage door opener, it isadvised to park outside of the garage.
1.Point the remote control at the HomeLink®
button to be programmed and hold it about2-8 cm (1-3 inches) from the button. Do not
obstruct the HomeLink® indicator light.
Note: Some remote controls are more effec-
tive at programming HomeLink® from a dis-tance of about 15-20 cm (6-12 inches).Keep this in mind if you experience any pro-gramming difficulties.
2.Press and hold both the remote control but-
ton and the HomeLink® button to be pro-grammed.
3. Do not release the buttons until the indicatorlight has stopped flashing slowly (about oncea second) and either flashes quickly (about10 times a second) or glows steadily.
>If the indicator light glows steadily:Indication that programming is complete.Press the programmed button twice toactivate.
If the indicator light flashes quickly:The device being programmed with
HomeLink® may have a security functionthat requires an extra step. Try pressingthe programmed button twice to seewhether the programming works. Other-wise, continue with the following steps.
4. Locate the "training" button17 on thereceiver for the e.g. garage door opener. It isusually located near the antenna bracket onthe receiver.
5.Press and release the "training" button once.Programming must be completed within 30seconds after pressing the button.
6.Press and release the HomeLink® button tobe programmed. Repeat the press/hold/release sequence a second time. For somereceivers, the sequence may need to berepeated a third time.
> Programming is now completed and thegarage door, gate, etc. should now beactivated when the programmed button ispressed.

Programming individual buttons
To program an individual HomeLink® button:
1. Press and hold the desired button for about20 seconds.
2.When the indicator light on HomeLink®
starts flashing slowly, it is possible to pro-gram as usual.
Note: If the button you are reprogrammingdoes not program with a new device, it willreturn to the previously saved programming.

Resetting the HomeLink ®
buttons
It is only possible to reset all HomeLink® buttonsat once. It is not possible to reset individual but-tons. Individual buttons can only be reprogram-med.
–Press and hold the outer buttons (1 and 3)
on HomeLink® for about 10 seconds.
>When the indicator light goes from asteady glow to flashing, the buttons havebeen reset and are ready for reprogram-ming.

Once HomeLink® is programmed, it can beused instead of the separate remote controls.
Press and hold the programming button. Thegarage door, gate, alarm system, etc. will be acti-vated (this may take several seconds). If the but-ton is held down for more than 20 seconds,reprogramming will begin. The indicator light willglow steadily or flash when the button has beenpressed. The original remote controls may be
used concurrently with HomeLink® if desired.
NOTE
When the ignition is switched off, HomeLink®
will be active for at least 7 minutes.

NOTE
HomeLink® cannot be used if the vehicle islocked and the alarm is armed* from the out-side.
WARNING
If you use HomeLink® to open a garagedoor or gate, be sure no one is near thegate or door while it is in motion.
Do not use HomeLink® with any garagedoor opener that lacks safety stop andreverse features as required by US fed-eral safety standards (this includes anygarage door opener model manufacturedbefore April 1, 1982). A garage door thatcannot detect an object - signaling thedoor to stop and reverse - does not meetcurrent U.S. federal safety standards. Formore information, contact HomeLink at:www.homelink.com.

From the SiriusXM Travel Link home screen, toshow fuel information:

Tap for a list of service stations in the vicinity ofthe vehicle, with the nearest station at the top ofthe list.

Monthly:
Check cold tire pressure in all tires. Inspectthe tires for wear.
Check that engine coolant and other fluidlevels are between the indicated "min" and"max" markings.
Clean interior glass surfaces with a glasscleaner and soft paper towels.
Wipe driver information displays with a softcloth.
Visually inspect battery terminals for corro-sion. Corrosion may indicate a loose terminalconnector, or a battery near the end of itsuseful service life. Consult your Volvo retailerfor additional information.

As needed:
Wash the vehicle, including the undercarriage, toreduce wear that can be caused by a buildup ofdirt, and corrosion that can be caused by salt res-idues.
Clean leaves and twigs from air intake vents atthe base of the windshield, and from other placeswhere they may collect.

Data transfer between vehicle andworkshop over Wi-Fi
Volvo workshops have a designated Wi-Fi net-work for secure data transfer between your vehi-cle and the workshop. Your visit to the workshopwill be easier and more effective when diagnos-tics information and software can be transferredover the workshop's network.
At the workshop, your service technician can con-nect your vehicle to the workshop's Wi-Fi net-work to perform troubleshooting and downloadsoftware. For this type of communication, thevehicle only connects to a workshop's network. Itis not possible to connect the vehicle to anotherWi-Fi network (e.g. your home network) in thesame way as to a workshop's network.

Connecting with remote key
Connection is usually managed by the servicetechnician, who will use the remote key buttons. Itis therefore important to bring a key with buttonswith you when you visit the workshop. Pressingthe lock button on the remote key three times willconnect the vehicle to the workshop's Wi-Fi net-work.
When the car is connected to a Wi-Fi network,
the symbol appears in the center display.

Fuse pliers are provided on the inside of the fusebox cover to assist in removing and insertingfuses.
There are also spaces for several extra fuses inthe distribution box in the engine compart-ment.

Positions
Fuses 1, 3-21, 23-36, 39-53 and 55-59 are"Micro" fuses.
Fuses 2-22, 37-38 and 54 are "MCase"fuses and should only be replaced by a work-
shop19.

Cleaning the interior
Only use cleaning agents and car care productsrecommended by Volvo. Clean regularly andtreat stains immediately for best results. It isimportant to vacuum before using a cleaningagent.

CAUTION
Some colored clothing (for example, darkjeans and suede garments) may stain theupholstery. If this occurs, it is important toclean and treat these parts of the uphols-tery as soon as possible.
Never use strong solvents such aswasher fluid, gasoline, mineral spirit orconcentrated alcohol to clean the interioras this can damage the upholstery aswell as other interior materials.
Never spray cleaning agent directly ontocomponents that have electrical buttonsand controls. Wipe instead with a dampcloth with cleaning agent.
Sharp objects and Velcro can damagethe car's textile upholstery.
Only use cleaning agent on the type ofmaterial it is intended for.

Cleaning the center display
Marks, stains, finger smudges etc. on the centerdisplay may affect its performance and readabil-ity. Clean the screen regularly with a microfibercloth.
To clean the center display:
1.Turn off the center display by pressing andholding the Home button.
2. Wipe the screen clean with the microfibercloth provided or use another microfibercloth of similar quality. Wipe the screen witha clean, dry microfiber cloth using small, cir-cular motions. If necessary, moisten the clothslightly.
3. Reactivate the display by pressing the Homebutton briefly.
