The meters and display illuminate when
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode. ■
Brightness of the meters (d ay mode and night mode)
The brightness of the meters is changed between day mode and night mode. ●
Day mode: When the tail lights are off or when the tail lights are on but the surrounding
area is bright ●
Night mode: When the tail lights are on and the surrounding area is dark ■
Outside temperature display ●
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or the
display may take longer than normal to change:
• When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 12 mph [20 km/h])
• When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a
garage, tunnel, etc.) ●
When “  ” or “E” is displayed, the sy stem may be malfunctioning.
Take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer. ■
Clock settings screen (vehicles with a navigation system only)
If the clock adjustment screen is displayed continuously wh en attempting to change the
clock settings, the system may be malfunctioning.
Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer. ■
Customization
Some functions can be customized. (  P. 97)
NOTICE ■
To prevent damage to the engine and its components●
Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which indicates
the maximum engine speed. ●
The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is in the red
zone (H). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, and check the
engine after it has cooled completely. (  P. 692)

Use the meter control switches on th e steering wheel to change settings.

Change the setting by referring to the message displayed on the screen.

The position at which the power back d oor will stop when opened automatically
can be changed. 
When setting using the switch
Stop the power back door at the desired position. (  P. 131, 133)
Press and hold the switch on
the lower part of the power back
door for 2 seconds.
• When setting is complete, a
buzzer will sound 4 times.
• The next time the power back
door is opened, it will stop at that
position. 
When setting using the multi-information display
The open position can be set usin g the multi-information display. (  P. 90)
When setting on the audio system screen
The open position can be set on the audio system screen. (  P. 725)
Priority for the open position is give n to the last position set using the
switch, multi-information displa y, or audio system screen.

Instances of the RCTA function unnecessari ly detecting a vehicle and/or object may
increase in the following situations:
• When a vehicle passes by th e side of your vehicle
• When the distance between your vehicle and metal objects, such as a guardrail,
wall, sign, or parked vehicle, which may re flect electrical waves toward the rear of
the vehicle, is short
You can change the BSM function/RCTA function settings.
Press the “MENU” button on the Remote Touch, and then select on the
screen.
Select “Vehicle”, and then select “Blind Spot Monito r Settings” on the screen.

Vehicles with Adaptive Variable Suspension System
Normal mode/Customized mode
Normal mode and customized mode ar e selected by pressing the driving
mode select switch. Each time the switch is pressed, the driving mode
changes between normal mode and customized mode. When customized
mode is selected, the “CUSTOMIZE” indicator will be illuminated. When Eco drive mode or sport mode is se lected, pressing the switch changes the
driving mode to normal mode.
• Normal mode
Provides an optimal balance of fuel economy, quietness, and dynamic per-
formance. Suitable for city driving.
• Customized mode
Allows you to drive with the following functions set to your preferred set-
tings.
Customized mode settings can only be changed on the drive mode cus-
tomization display of the audio system screen.
